Layered Beans Vase2. Plant the flowers by poking the stems carefully down into the layers of beans, disturbing the layers as little as possible. If the stems of the flowers are too long, trim them before you stick them in the jar. 3. Squeeze white glue all over the top layer of beans around and in between the flowers. Let the glue dry hard to hold the layers of beans in the jar. Cut two pieces of ribbon and tie them together around the rim of the jar in a pretty bow. You can layer the inside of the jar with any combination of beans and
rice that you choose. You could also color some rice or sand with
a few drops of food coloring. Be sure to let colored rice or sand
dry overnight before you seal it in the jar. If you don't it might
mold. YUCK!
