MATERIALS
Provo Craft precut glass heart
ornament, 3 1/2" across
Burned out lightbulbs
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel™ Paints:
Light Peach, Dark Goldenrod, Chocolate
Maize, Red Red, Light Flesh 14K Gold
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel™ Shimmers: White
Pearl
Paintbrushes: flat; round; liner
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel™ Surface Conditioner
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel™ Clear Gloss
Glaze
Delta Renaissance Foil™ Gold
Delta Renaissance Foil™ Adhesive
Gold cording 13 inches
Delta Quick 'n Tacky™ Glue
Sea sponge
Craft knife
Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS
With craft knife (adults only), scrape
lettering from
top of light bulb. Brush bulb with PermEnamel
Surface
Conditioner; let air dry. (NOTE: Let paints
dry between
color changes. Use photo as a painting
guide.) Basecoat
glass portion of bulb with shimmers White
Pearl.
For face, paint a 1" diameter circle just
below bulb threads
with Light Peach; let dry, Alternating
between Chocolate,
Dark Goldenrod and Maize, paint curly
hair.
For eyes, paint two dots with Chocolate;
paint highlight
dot in each eye with White Pearl. Mix
a drop of Red Red
into Light Flesh; paint cheeks and mouth.
Highlight lower
lip with Shimmers White Pearl. Paint bow
with 14K Gold.
Following instructions on package and
working on one area
at a time, apply Renaissance Foil to bottom
of body, dress trim,
and metal portions of at the top of the
body. For wings, cover heart,
one side at a time, with foil, using sea
sponge to apply Foil Adhesive. Accent edge of wings with Shimmers White
Pearl.
Apply Clear Gloss Glaze to body and wings;
let dry. Tie center of
cord around the of body; thread cord ends
through hole in wings.
Tightly tie cord into a knot against back
of wings; tie cords ends
together into a knot with bow. With Quick
'n Tacky, glue bottom
of wings to body.
