Swinging Lanterns

Bamboo poles are strung with charms, the smell of food is near; Everyone is all dress up for Tet, Vietnamese New Year! Swinging Lanterns

YOU'LL NEED construction paper (white) scissors tissue paper (assorted colors) craft glue paintbrush stapler

Mix glue with a few drops of water. Use brush to glue small pieces of tissue paper onto construction paper. Let dry completely.

2. Fold construction paper in half lengthwise. Cut slits 1" (2.5 cm) apart along the fold and stopping 1" (2.5 cm) below the edge of the paper.

3. Open the paper and staple together vertically for a lantern. Staple a strip of construction paper across the top of the lantern for a handle.
