Markers or crayons
White Glue
String or yarn
Crepe paper or tissue paper in red, white and blue

Cover the empty container by gluing construction paper over it (your choice of colors).  Draw and color an American Flag on two sides of the container.  Cut long streamers from the crepe paper or tissue paper and glue them to one open end of the container.

Punch four holes in the other end of the container, spacing them equally around the rim.  Thread the string or yarn through the holes and double knot.  Tie all four strands together at the top.  Tie knotted ends and use it to hand your windsock from the edge
of a deck, roof or tree branch.

Note:  If you have a small, already made flags, you can glue these on the box instead of drawing and coloring the flags.
