Yarn Wreaths
From: "Kids Create!" by Laurie Carlson
Materials
Coffee can lid
Green yarn in 18 inch lengths
12 red pony beads
24 inch piece of ribbon
Glue
Tape
Fishing line
Craft knife
1. Ask an adult to cut the center part out of the plastic lid,
leaving a donut shape about 2 inches thick.
2. Wrap the green yarn around the lid, securing the ends to the
back with glue or tape. As the lid is covered, string on a pony bead
here and there to look like holly berries. Cover the whole lid with
yarn. Then glue the yarn end to the lid, hiding it under the yarn
wrapping.
3. Tie the ribbon into a bow and glue on at the top of the
wreath.
4. Tie on a piece of fishing line (or you can use a piece of
green yarn), creating a loop for hanging in the window, on a door knob,
on the wall or on the Christmas tree.
