Materials:

A plastic cup of any kind
Rich soil
Seeds (any kind you want!)
Water
A measuring cup
Window

Instructions:

1. Fill your cup 1/3 - to 1/2 way full with rich soil. You might need an adult to help you measure this.

2. Put 2 or 3 seeds (far apart from each other) in the soil.

3. Fill the cup up with more soil, leaving about 1-2 inches space at the top of the cup.

4. Fill the measuring cup with 1/4 - 1/3 cup water. Pour it all around the cup of soil and seeds. You might need an adult to help you measure this.

5. Place your cup by a window where sunlight comes through.

6. Watch your cup over a period of 5-6 days. You should see a small plant growing out of the cup!! Make sure to give it plenty of water everyday (1/4-1/3 cup) and make sure that it stays by the window! Get an adult to help you watch it, and make sure that it is out of reach of dogs or cats.
