Meet Alice Frances.  She is my great grandmother.  I know her as GiGi.  She died March 9, 1997 at the age of 86.  I miss her so much.  I use to spend everyday at her house.  Below are some pictures of me and GiGi.

This is me at 2 days old.  GiGi was
in the hospital, but I went to see her.

I am on the left.  My cousin Amanda
is on the right.  We both love GiGi.

Again Amanda is on the right and I am on the left.
We went to visit GiGi in the hospital when Amanda
came to visit me.  She lives four hours away from me.

Let me tell you a little about GiGi.  She was born in Canada on August 29, 1910.  Her family was living there temorarily so her father could work.  She was the fifth child of tweleve children and grew up on a farm in North Dakota.  A few years after my grandfather was adopted, she moved to Albany, Oregon and took up nursing at the hospital.  She was a midwife.  She even assisted with the delivery of her first grandchild.  She never had anymore children.  She does, however, have seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  Soon there will be more greatgrandchildren, but the first three were the only ones to meet her.  Her favorite color was purple.  She loved to do needlework and quilting.  She made all the grandchildren needlepoint stockings.  She also made numerous pictures and pillows.  All the first three great grandchildren have a baby quilt that was made by her.  I was so little when she died, but with this page I can remember her better.  I love you GiGi.
