Dear Fellow Jaycee:

I am proud to announce my candidacy for the office of President of the Texas Junior Chamber of Commerce. Texas has a strong tradition in filling leadership positions with highly qualified, dedicated and proven performers. I am one of those people.

I believe in giving 100% to all the decisions I make in my life. This includes Jaycees and the offices I have served. This is evident in my proven track record of hard work and performance in the Texas Junior Chamber. My priorities in life are my faith, my family, my career and the Jaycees. These priorities have made me a dedicated son and brother, as well as a successful business man and Jaycee.

I have a vision for this organization and it starts with you, the local member. I believe in developing the local members through Springboard and Degrees with recognition on the State level. Focus needs to be placed on training at the local and state level to encourage leadership growth and retention of our membership. I believe that the creation of a chapter-mentoring program will help at-risk and charter chapters become vital organizations within their communities. For the Texas Jaycees to succeed well into the next millennium, we must have a plan of action to carry us through. This is why it is imperative that a Long-Range Plan and committee are set into motion.
