The Bored Programmer
After Heather Alexander's rendition of the traditional, "Beggar Girl"
Well, I'm just a little programmer,
My nametag tells my name
People call me day and night,
And it's always the same.
My program isn't working right,
And you are to blame,
So won't you help me, you bored little programmer?
Well, I work down in tech support,
For First Union Bank,
And every guy who calls in is a genuine crank,
Do I just get the loonies,
Or is it my rank?
'cause I'm only a bored little programmer.
Well I have to ask for passwords,
It's in my line of work,
And some days I get so mad,
When I get a loudmouth jerk,
That I take away some zeros,
Hey, it's in my line of work.
'cause I'm only a bored little programmer.
Well, I'm just a little programmer,
A cog in the wheel,
People call me day and night,
But they don't ask how I feel.
Well they may not know my name,
But they're getting a good feel,
For the wrath of a poor little programmer.
