Jess and Rei's page of fire and stuff (with a Caribbean feel)

~The Senshi of Fire~

This is the page dedicated to my second favorite Sailor Senshi, Sailor Mars.

Rei is a strong-willed, independant, stubborn, short-tempered Shintoist. Rei works as the Hikawa Shrine on Sendai Hill (Shinto Cherry Hill temple) as sort of apprentice where she is training to be a Shinto preistest. At the temple, she wears the traditional temple costume. Being a preistess, she can often sense things the otehrs can't, communicate with gods of fire, and exorcise spirits with ofuda. Her two pet crows are named Deimos and Phobos. She is very traditional, an otaku with with a massive manga collection, as accomplished singer. The position she is training for is miko, a female "exorcist" and we have seen her use seals (fire bombs) to banish evil spirits. The writing on the seal says "Akryotaisan" which translates "evil spirits run away". These seals are called ofuda and in Japanese tradition they are able to rap the power of spirits. As for the grey outfit, Rei goes to T.A. Private Girl's School Academy.

Rei, born with a sensitivity to the spiritual world, often senses danger in the air. She is very dedicated to her causes, and is very important to the team in finding the truth about enemies with her fire readings. She is constantly bickering with Usagi, because she is impatient with Usagi's clumsiness. It's not that she doesn't like Usagi, and many times she shows compassion for her. Rei loves to sing, and lives for attention. She's been on more dates than any of the other Senshi, and even dated Mamoru. Rei's greatest admirer though would have to be Kumada Yuuichiro (Chad), a penniless man who fell asleep on the steps of the temple and decided to become a preist under training after meeting Rei. She claims that there's nothing going on between her and Yuurichiru, but she gets jealous when there's lots of girls near him.

Sailor Mars is pretty tough and always ready for a fight. She is extremely agressive and does not hesitate when she senses evil. She is called the "Strongest Senshi" by some and priginally also wanted to be leader, but voluntarily withdrew in the way of destiny. Many of her attacks she knew before becoming a Senshi, because they deal with her religion. She made her first appearance at the temple, where a lot of girls were going to buy good luck charms. Luna felt strength in Rei when Usagi came to buy a charm. Luna left the Henshin stick of Mars as the steps of the temple, which Rei eventually found and used.

Fire Soul- Her main attack. She puts her hands together and say these words, she can create a fire ball that she can direct to her enemies.
Fire Soul Bird- Her attack creating a fire bird that flies at her opponent.
Burning Mandala- This creates fiery rings that she can direct.
Mars Flame Sniper- A Super Sailor Mars attack with a fiery bow and arrow that she shoots.
Akuryou Fuji no Ofuda- as mentioned above, she chants a ward and throws a peice of paper on someone, which stuns or removes evil from someone.

1)First off, I cannot stress enough that I did NOT create these characters.
2) I've decided to dedicate this page to Fluffy (if you don't understand, skip to number three), who thinks he has a girlfriend, but that's still being debated.
