The boy and Small One found the shop and went inside. It was very dark, and it smelled bad. Some animals were tied up inside. They looked frightened.
"Now don't be afraid, Small One," said the boy.
They looked around. At first they did not see anyone. Then they saw a man sharpening a knife.
