The Best Birthday

It was October 9, 2000 the day of my birthday. I went to the "Y" dance with some friends and in the middle of the dance I was called up and the song "I'll Never Break Your Heart" came on, and through the doors came Howie D. of the BackstreetBoys (My favorite) he went up to ,me and started to sing to me! Then out came Kevin and called Audrey up (my best friend) and sang to her too! and then came in A.J., Brian,and Nick and they all sang together to us! After that, all five of them each danced with both of us. Then when the dance was over they asked if we wanted to go get something to eat, but we were tired and said no, DUH! of course we said yes! So we went to McDonald's and talked and then they took us shopping at the mall and we bought anything we wanted to and they offered to pay for it. So we bought a lot of clothes, and jewelry, and junk. After that we drove around town, but sadly later we had to go home but it was 2:00 when they dropped us off! When they found out where we lived Brian said, "Oh my god! This is the street we are moving to next week! I almost dropped dead when he said that! "Are you serious?" I shrieked. "yeah I'm serious" he said. "that is cool!" "You mean you're not going to jump around and scream like most people would do?" Howie asked. "No that would probably scare you!" Audrey laughed. "I noticed some people at the dance wouldn't dance with you because you walked a little different then they did? If you don't mind me asking?" Howie asked. "Yeah, people just don't give me a chance, I might walk different but I'm not much different then anyone else if you get to know me. "That's the spirit!" Howie said. "Hey, do you want to come in and meet the family?" Audrey asked. "yeah!"they all said. When we went in April was in the living room and she shouted to mom. "Mom! Back street boys in the house!" "you mean on the T.V.?" her mom said. "No, in the house!" Her mom walked in and she almost fainted. "these are the new neighbors!" Audrey said. "BSB in the flesh!" Kevin said. "Did you say NEIGHBORS?!" her mom shrieked. "yeah!" "isn't it sweet?!" We both said. "yeah!" "oh, by the way, it might not be fair to the other fans but we are going to give you free back-stage passes to every concert!" Nick said. "and if it's ok with your mom you can tour with us, and we'd get you a private tutor and you'd HAVE to do home work EVERY day. Only if your mom says yes." added Howie. "please mom? PLEASE?!" we begged. "well.......Ok! but you have to come back on important holidays. "YES! thank you!" we cried. "And also you get to help us make up new songs! that's part of being a roady." Kevin said. "sweet! we get to help make songs be roadies and tour with BSB! I love my life! They both said. "oh yeah, can I bring my cat Furball?" Heather asked. "and my dog Gunner?"Audrey asked 'sure!' Brian said "Thanks we cried! "So tomorrow are you guys going to help us move in?" "Yeah!" The next day ,we went over to their house and we talked for an hour or two and got to work. We started in the kitchen and that took about an hour. Then we did the living room, but as soon as we got the Play Station hooked up Nick had to take a little break. "I see you like clutter huh?" Audrey said. "Oh, yeah" Howie laughed. "who wants lunch?" My mom yelled. "I've got McDonald's for Heather, Audrey, and A.J., Asian, for Howie, Pizza for Nick, Macaroni and Cinnamon rolls for Brian "YES"! Brian yelled. and chicken for Kevin. "Thank you Mrs. A!" They said in a sarcastic way. Then after we ate we did Howie's room "your floor is a very cool purple." I said. "I love purple." Howie smiled. As I was putting his pictures up I saw a picture of Caroline. "I know you hear this all the time but I'm sorry about Caroline." I said. "Thanks" "I wonder where Audrey is?" Howie asked. Probably flirting with Kevin, she likes him."we both laughed. (Back with Audrey) " I see your favorite color is blue, your walls and floor are both blue!" Audrey said. "Oh yeah blue's cool!" Brian said. "If you don;t mind me saying, you look really good for having surgery a couple months ago." "Thanks" Brian laughed. Where do you want this really big Pamela Anderson Poster?Ó "Right above my bed!" He smiled. "Well your room looks done huh?" Audrey and I said. "Yeah." They both said. "Looks like your almost all unpacked in here Kevin!" Audrey laughed "Yeah, I'm fast!." "Well I'll see you later."Audrey said. "you need any help A.J.?" I asked. "Sure!" "Where to start!" I joked. "No kidding" "These Tie Dyed walls and ceiling are da' bomb!" I said. "Thanks!" "You have so many hats, do you think I could borrow some in a while? They are all so cool!" I asked. "Of course you can borrow some! You can borrow anything you want if it'll fit you!" "Thanks!" "You can borrow my stuff too!" Howie said. "Cool!" "Sunglasses too" A.J. said. "Well looks like we are done in here!" "Thanks for the help Heather!" A.J. Said. "Hey Nick! need some help?" I asked. "Sure!" "Green everything!" I said. "Yep!" I took out some posters."Marino!" "Yeah I LOVE the Dolphins!" He said. "Me too! Lots of people don't like the Dolphins but I love them!" "Yeah they are sweet!"He said. " So Aaron is still living with your mom and dad than?" I asked. "Yeah, but we have a spare bedroom for him for when he comes over once in a while." He said. Does he tour with you very much?" I asked. "Sometimes.Well your room looks done!" "Yeah thanks!" He said."well all of the rooms are pretty much unpacked, so who wants to go outside and hangout or do whatever?" Howie asked. "Ok sure we need a fun break!" Kevin said. "lets go!" Audrey said. So we all went outside, the back yard was huge! They had a swimming pool, basketball, volley ball, etc. Me and Audrey really wanted to play basketball with them but I thought I was to short and I also didn't know how to play! "Hey! come on you two come and play!" Howie yelled."We would, but we don't know how to play."Audrey said. "Come on! we'll teach you!" Brian begged. "well, ok!"we both said. "Great!" So after they taught us all the basic moves of the game we played a game of B-ball. Me, Howie, and A.J. on one team and Audrey, Brian, and Nick on the other (Kevin kept score he didn't feel like playing)Audrey's team won because she had Brian on her side and he's the best player in the band. After that We went swimming, I put on my bikini (not to flashy though!) and sat on my towel and sun tanned. Audrey got in right away but I was a little white so I needed the sun. About ten minuets later I felt what felt like rain but I turned around and Howie was splashing me! "Howie!" I screamed. He jumped out of the water and picked me up and threw me in! I screamed. When I got in I had fun."Cannon ball!" A.J. yelled. But when he got to the end of the board he slipped and he flew off the edge! We thought he was just playing but when he hit the water he floated to the bottom. Howie was the first to notice that he was hurt. "A.J.!" I yelled yelled. And Howie dove in after him. He was breathing but not answering when we called to him. Heather gave him CPR and he finally came too. "what happened?!" Audrey asked. "The board was wet and I slipped and my leg bent back and I couldn't swim with just one good leg so I just floated to the bottom. I'm fine now, except my legs broke or sprained." A.J. explained." But we have to start touring tomorrow are you going to be able to sing?" Nick asked. "Oh of course! You know me I never give up until I can't go anymore!" A.J. laughed. "well that's good you can still go on tomorrow." Kevin said. "Well I"m going to go in and play Nintendo." Nick said. "Anyone want to come?" Nick asked. "I'll come!" Me and Audrey said. Audrey played nintendo but me and Howie talked. (5 hours later.) "well we better get ready for tomorrow and start packing!" Brian said. "Me and Audrey are going to go home and pack we'll be back in an hour." I said. "ok see you later" They all said So we went home and packed, got furball, and Gunner. "April,do you want to come over and say goodbye to the Backstreet boys?" I asked. "Ok!" "mom want to come too?" Audrey asked. "Sure!" We went back to their house all of them said goodbye to mom and April, but April didn't want A.J. to leave. "I won't be leaving forever, just for 2 months or so. So I'll be back and then I can see you again, but we'll send you letters and call you." A.J. explained to April. "Yeah and we'll bring back stuff from where we've been." Heather said. "ok I love you Heather and Audrey! Bye Backstreet boys I'll miss you!" "Bye April and Chris!" they all said. "Bye!" So we left, the good thing about the tour bus was that they had two extra bunks for me and Audrey. "Hey, by the way. How's your leg A.J.?" I asked. Well the doctor said it was just sprained so I can still preform at the concerts.""That's a relief. Nick said. "Well what should we do now?" Audrey asked. "How about we dance to some music!" Howie said. "I would, but I don't know how to dance." Heather said. Me either!" Well, we'll teach you!" Howie and Brian said. "Cool!" "I'll put on some music. How about us, Backstreet Boys!" Kevin laughed. "That'll be cool Kev!" Howie said. "As long as you love me" went on and then Howie and Brian showed us the basic steps for that song and then we tried out our dancing skills. We made some mistakes but we got better as we practiced more. "Hey you guys are almost better than us!" Brian laughed. "Hey thanks!" I walked over to A.J. he looked a little lonely because he couldn't dance because his leg still hurt. "hey are you ok? You looked a little bummed because you couldn't"t do what we were doing." I asked. "I'm fine but you can sit with me and talk or whatever if you want." He said. "ok!" "So were are we going to tour first?" I asked." well first we are going to the cities, and then we well go to Iowa, then California, Florida, and then we'll fly to Germany." He explained. "Oh my god! Audrey! we are going to the cities for the first concert and Shelly Applen is going!" "If it's ok with you in the middle of the show we could page her to come up on stage and meet you guys? I'll be able to tell if it's her and not somebody faking it!" "Ok That'll be fine!" "Cool!" 'Hey! we"we're at the hotel!" Nick yelled. We got in the hotel and me and Audrey had to share a room but they bought one for us. "Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow!" we said. "Good night!" they all said and we went to bed. The next day at the concert, "Hey are you feeling up to performing tonight?" Audrey asked A.J."Oh yeah! I might not be as fast as usual, but I'll manage." A.J. said. "Hey Heather, later in the middle of the show, we got a surprise for you and Audrey!" Howie said. "What is it?" "Please tell us!"They begged. "No you have to wait and find out later." Howie laughed. "Ok we got to go sing now, you guys get to sit here, right on the side of the stage." Kevin explained. "Good luck guys!" They yelled. They started singing "Back streets Back" and A.J. Tripped, we thought his leg was giving out but he looked at us and gave us a sign that he was ok. "Whew" Heather sighed. In the middle of the show, "Can I Have your attention for just a sec?" Howie said to the audience. "We have two very special people we'd like to introduce, Heather and Audrey." What?" we shrieked. "come on out you guys." Brain said. "These two great people are going on the road with us, helping us with writing songs and just being there." "Yeah that's right,Heather and Audrey have been very helpful with my sprained ankle." A.J. added."can I say one thing Howie?" Heather asked."sure." I know one of my friends is here tonight, Shelly if you are here can you please come up to the stage?" Heather said. Shelly got up to the stage. "Shelly I knew you were going to be here tonight so I thought you could come up and meet the guys." Heather said. "We have one more surprise for all three of you." Nick said. "We thought that you guys could help us out with the next song." Kevin said."ok cool" they all said. "Is that ok with you Minneapolis if these three help us out?" A.J. yelled. The audience screamed. They went back stage quick with Brian to plan it out and get their outfits. "How did you know our sizes?" Shelly asked. "Good guess." "great guess!" Audrey said. When they were ready they waited behind the stage for their part. The song was "I want it that way" Audrey sang with Brian, Shelly sang with Nick, and of course Heather sang with Howie. The song started, when her part came, "You are my fire the one desire believe when I say I want it that way." Audrey and Brian sang. Next "But we are two worlds apart can't reach to your heart when you say that I want it that way." Nick and Shelly sang. Last, "You are my fire the one desire you are, you are, you are." Howie and Heather sang. "Don't wanna hear you!"shelly and Nick sang. Then they finished the song. "Lets give it up for Heather, Audrey, and Shelly!" Howie yelled. The audience gave the biggest scream ever herd. Backstage after the concert. "Shelly come hang out back stage." They both said." "Oh my god really?" she shrieked. "Thank you guys so much for letting me come on stage!" Shelly said. "It was their idea." Nick said."But thanks for letting them." Shelly laughed."No problem." They said. "Hey when we come back to Rochester in a couple of months for Christmas we'll have you come over and hang out." Nick said. "wow really?" shelly gasped. Shelly got all of their autographs and a shirt and hat. "Bye Shelly." they all said and hugged her. Early the next morning they drove to Iowa for the next show.we got to the airport at 8:00 a.m. and got on the plane. They landed at 8:30 "we got to check into the hotel and get to the stadium to start getting ready for the concert." Nick said. "What? the concert's not until 7:00 tonight!" Audrey questioned. "Apparently you don't know anything about being in a band!" Brian laughed. What do you mean being in the band?!" They gasped. "Didn't anyone tell you? You two are our new sidekicks." Howie explained. "What?!" They asked. " You guys are going to do that thing you did the other night in Minneapolis." A.J. explained. "And our main dancers. "So when people start to figure out who you are you're gonna get more and more fans." Kevin laughed. "We better go to the stadium and start rehearsing" Nick said. They got to the stadium. "Time to get busy." Howie said. They got their sizes and clothes for the shows. "They should be ready tonight." Said the costume guy. "Let's go girlies." A.J. said. "Are we the only dancers now, or what?" Audrey asked. "Yeah you are." Howie answered. "what happed to the others. "They said we weren't paying them enough." Brian replied. "Well we don't care if we get paid at all." Heather said. "Yeah we're just doing this for fun." Audrey added. "Anyway we got to start rehearsing." Nick said. They got on stage and rehearsed all of the dance moves for the night. Then Heather rehearsed the song she was going to sing with the boys "We've Got It Goin' on" . "O.K. when you see Brian pass A.J. you run out their and rap your heart out with A.J. ok?" Howie explained. "Well, we got about ten minuets until the show starts, so lets go get dressed. They got ready and the show started, they started off great and before backstreet's back they introduced their new dancers. "I'd like you to meet our new, and now only dancers, Audrey Hesby, and my favorite, (No offense Audrey) Heather Anderson!" Howie yelled. The audience went nuts. They danced every song like they've done it all their lives! "We've Got It Goin' On Came on and they rocked it, and when Heather saw her sign, she ran out almost dressed the same as A.J. except for a different colored hat. She rapped with A.J. and the crowed went nuts! The concert ended with a bang! "Wow Heather! You're rapping is the bomb!" A.J. laughed. "Thanks! I've been practicing off my C.D." she replied. "Guess what? Tomorrow we're going to a photo shoot, and you two get to be a part of it!" "Huh?" They said confused. "You guys are going to get to have your own photo shoot also." Howie explained. "You'll be in the magazines and everything!" A.J. added. "Wow! Now people will definitely know who we are!" Audrey laughed. "Lets go back to the hotel and get some sleep." Kevin yawned. "Good idea." Audrey yawned They arrived at the photo shoot around 8:00 in Sacremento. "You two, Audrey and Heather will be doing pictures separate, and together" The photographer instructed them. "Will we get to do some with the guys?" Heather asked. "yeah like our favorite or something?" Audrey added. "That's not a bad idea!" A.J. said "O.K. it's settled, you and Howie Heather, You and Kevin Audrey, then A.J. and Heather and then Nick, Brian, and Audrey." Instructed the photographer. "Ok lets get busy." Nick said. They started off with just the guys for a couple of shots and poses. Then They did Heather and Audrey both together and seperate and together for a couple of shots and poses. Then They got the pictures of Howie and A.J. with Heather, and finally, they got the photos of Nick and Brian, with Audrey."Whew! Is this how it always is for you guys?" Heather asked."This is the easy stuff, you guys just started the stardom. Once people learn who you are, you'll be running alot!" A.J. laughed. "Really? wow, I never thought of how hard stardom is." Audrey said. "Well, you'll learn!" Kevin joked. "Now what do we have to do?" Audrey asked. "Well we gotta go to that dance club down town and party!" A.J. said. "O.K. can we go back to the hotel room to shower and change?" Heather asked. "Girls, always worried about their looks." Brian laughed. They went back to the room, and showered, and Audrey put on her new cool half shirt, and Heather put on her new Wild Cats half shirt. They went down to the lobby and met the guys. ""Hey Wild Cats, football team!" Brian pointed at Heather's shirt. "Let's go people's! Lets go!" AJ jumped up and down. They went downtown to a club that wasn't too busy."Can I have a Mountain Dew?" Heather asked the bartender. "Make that 2." Howie added. "I'll buy." Howie suggested "Thanks." "So your 15 right?" Howie asked "Yes I am." Heather smiled. "Not bad of a age difference between us." Howie grinned. "what are you getting at?" Heather asked "oh nothing." Howie laughed. "Let's dance." Howie said. They slowed danced (pretty close) "You think you can buy me a Heiniken?" Heather asked. "I don't know." Howie hesitated. "Please Please!" she begged. "Well ok, but don't make me regret this." She drank the beer like she'd been dying of thirst! "Woah! Don't choke!" Howie laughed. Back with Kevin and Audrey. "So I heard that you wanted to be a piolt if you weren't a singer." Audrey said. "Yeah but I decided to stick with the guys,they needed me." Kevin laughed."Let's go dance." A fast song played, "Hey Mr. DJ" "Hey you know ALL of the dance moves." Kevin laughed. "Yeah I've been practing off of my videos." Audrey said. Lets go see what the other guys are up to." Audrey suggested. "OK." They found all the guys, except Howie & Heather. "Where are they?" Nick asked. "There they are!." AJ said. "And they're NOT dancing!" Brian said shocked. Howie and Heather were making out in the corner of the club. "Let's go back to the hotel and wait in the lobby." Brian suggested. Heather and Howie came back around 2:00 "What have you two been doing?" "Nothing, just hanging out and dancing." Howie said. "Don't pull that with me! We saw you two making out!" Kevin yelled. "Hey chill out! What's wrong with that? It's not like we did it or anything!." ,Heather explained. "And we never will do it." Howie added. "Right, we just decided to stick with the simple stuff." Heather continued. "Have you guys thought of age difference?" Nick asked. "What does that matter? I think it matters more of the point that we love each other" Howie said "Well I'm happy for you 2." A.J. said "Let's go to bed Heather." Audrey said "So you two are going out now?" Audrey asked. "Yeah! He gave me his ring and everything!." Heather Shrieked. "Have you ever thought that he's 12 years older than you?! Audrey yelled. "Yes we know but we don't care. "He's really sweet once you get to know him. "Let's go to sleep" Audrey said. The next morning, they all got up and got on the bus. "Today we got to go to a press conference, and they'll be asking you two a bunch of questions since your our new fly girls." A.J. told Audrey and Heather. "And you and Howie have to tell them about your relationship." Audrey said. "Yeah, it's only the right thing to do." Heather smiled. They drove to the conference and went into the building, everyone was waiting. "How ya'll doin' today?" Brian asked the audience. They all screamed. We can start off with some questions." Nick said. "My names carol and I'm from San Diego, I have a question for the 2 girls with you, who are you?" "We are Backstreet Boys new and only dancers." Audrey explained "My names Heather." "And I'm Audrey." They both said. "And Heather is now ( I know you'll hate this) but she's my girlfriend now!" Howie added. The audienced sighed and groaned. "My names Jan from Washington and I want to know why you only have 2 dancers now." "Well the old dancers complained we weren't paying them enough and they ALL just quit!" Brian explained. "How did you pick these two girls then?" Carol asked. "Well we were singing at the YMCA in their town and it ust so happened that we were moving in right across the street from them, and we asked if they wanted to go on the road with us." A.J. explained. "Hi I'm stacy, Heather, have you ever thought about dating someone your own age? And are you dating Howie just because he's a Backstreet Boy? "Yes we've thought about age difference, but I don't think that matters, what matters more is if you love each other, am I right?" Howie said as he smiled at Heather. The audience cheered. "And no I'm not dating Howie just because he's a BSB, he's SO sweet, and LOVES to listen to you, and well, he's just an all around great guy!." Heather added. the audience awed. "Does anyone have the new Teen Beat with them?" Audrey asked the audience. "I do!" a girl screamed. "Can you bring it up?" Audrey asked. The girl brought the magazine up and looked to see if the pictures they got taken at the photoshoot were in it yet, and sure enough, there were Howie, A.J., and Heather and the picture of Kevin and Audrey and one of Heather And Audrey. "Wow! you guys are going to get famous fast." The girl laughed. "can you all sign it, even Heather and Audrey?" The girl asked. "sure!" They all said. "why don't you all come up and we can sign your things." Kevin told the audience. They signed autographes and took pictures with the fans. After that they did a concert for that lucky group of people. They did 15 songs, five from millenium, 5 from their first album, and each BSB did a solo. After that they went back to the hotel. "So that's what it's like to sign autographes." Heather laughed. " I can't believe that we'll actually have FANS sometime!" Audrey smiled.
