Clouds and heavy thunder storms were all around, but in the small Espresso Cafe, Acton, TX., the sun was shining bright on two lovely brides and their future mates.
Guests began to gather around 6:00 P.M. to enjoy dinner, attend a short meeting of the Hood County Hummers, while anxiously awaiting the "Wedding of the Century." |
The altar was decorated with candles and wild flowers, the choice of the brides, Texas Bluebonnets. Floating majestically above the altar were white balloons, donated by the local Hallmark store. Each guest table was decorated with white ribbons. |
The bridal party waited patiently for the service to begin, but unlike other weddings the entire bridal party enjoyed the festivities prior to the ceremony. |
They loved the wine toast given by their friends, Paul Campanelli and P.J. Gibbs, both members of the Hummers. |
Precious, from the Chisholm Trail Blazers, wore a beautiful white ruffled chiffon high neck, long sleeve full length dress, decorated with white embroidered flowers. Her veil was made from the same material and held in place with small flowers.
Flower De Bloom, from the Hood County Hummers, wore a long lace dress and long white veil trimmed with gold braid. Both brides carried small light blue, pink and white flowers with long white ribbons.
The grooms, Brazos Bull, from the Chisholm Trail Blazers, and Pepe De Pue,from the Hood County Hummers wore black high silk hats and carried a black canes.
Witnesses were, "T.C." Chief Rabbit, his wife "T.S." Traveling Shadow from the Tarrant County Walkers, for Precious and Brazos Bull, while Hippity and Bunny Hop, performed the honors for Flower De Bloom and Pepe De Pue.
Brazos Bull was happily surprised when his long lost sister, Fanny Puffa Lump arrived for this special occasion. She was located and brought to the service by Eveline Evans, Brazos guardian. The children and grandpa belonging to "T.C." and "T.S." were also present.
Janice, a close friend from Tarleton University, sang several songs. Prior to the service the guests were entertained with her first selection, "All The Things You Are". Upon the arrival of Father Stanford and the start of the service, Janice sang "I Just Fall In Love Again". |
The marriage vows were very moving and guests, along with the wedding party participated. Father Stanford completed the ceremony by blessing both couples and presenting them to those in attendance. |
Janice closed the happy occasion by singing "When I Fall In Love".
The guardians, Eveline Evans (Waco) and Dolores Prather (President of the Hummers) helped the wedding couples by cutting the Carrot Wedding Cake, which was decorated with two porcelain cows and two porcelain skunks. |
Each couple received a wedding album that contained a copy of their invitation, marriage vows, guest list and marriage certificate. |
A present that both couples happily received from their friend Kathleen Stewart, a member of the Tarrant County walkers, was a gorgeous bright green "Mr. Celery Head". |
The evening will be remembered by all as a grand occasion. It will also be enjoyed often as the entire evening has been documented on video.
The newlyweds will be honeymooning with Anna and Ed at the TVA Booth at the AVA Convention in Muncie. Please stop by and congratulate them.
