Recipe for Cheese & Apple Toasts

1 fresh tart apple
3 slices sandwich bread
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Peel and core the apple and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
Arrange apple slices on bread, cover with grated cheese,
and toast in broiler or toaster oven until cheese melts.
Cut into triangles and serve.
Makes 12 small toasts.
