Romancing the Planets - Epilogue Rated PG by Angel Eternal e-mail: angel_eternal_01@yahoo.com There was nothing but silence... The horrible sounds of battle had ceased, there was nothing. Bodies...so many bodies... The once beautiful Silver Palace was reduced to rubble, it's graceful silver columns were now black...the remains disappeared into the background of infinite ebony of the Galaxy. No more laughter, no more music ringing out from its halls, no more. A slash of bright red...not the dull red of blood flowing, but bright flame red...masses of tangled black hair flowing over one ivory arm. Beauty and death so closely intertwined... She lay sprawled on her stomach, in one ivory hand she clutched a man's hand... Masses of gold, and dull seeping red mixed with the gold, a scrap of bright orange material... Shimmering brown, strands across one glittering green eye... A broken body, sprawled on the once silver floors...a tangle of blue and white, red seeping from underneath. With golden hair as her shroud, she lay, a white gown in tatters around her slim form, still clasping her love's hand... All was quiet...the sounds of battle so recently had rang out, jarring and unnatural... The Silver Palace stood...white light started to seep from it... Light was coaxed out of the bodies...for one brilliant moment the ebony sky was filled with a myriad of dazzling color... Then all was dark once more...
