Inca
Train |
The "Inca Train" took us from Cusco City to
MacchuPicchu. The trek lasted about three hours of
beautiful and exotic sights. It was luxuriously
comfortable in comparison to the "backpackers' train", with
breakfast service and sandwhiches for the return
trip.

Arrival to
MachuPicchu |
At our arrival, we could not help but to be mesmerized
by the magnificent MachuPicchu sight.
|
Energy
Stone |
Amy is posing with the Energy Stone that profiles the
mountain behind it. This area was reserved for the High
Priests before they went up the trail to the HuaynaPicchu
mountain for their sacred rituals.
|
MachuPicchu
Wall |
This wall was amazingly perfect. Each block
seemed to be an exact replica of the next one. No mortar
was used to join them together, and still not even a piece of
paper would fit in between the stones. Another awesome
fact to use in party conversations is that the
Machupicchu walls lean inwards 13 degrees.

Trapezoid
Arquitecture |
Another important aspect of the Inca arquitecture was
the use of the trapezoid for windows, niches, and doors.
Dare to guess how many degrees of inclination for the sides of
the trapezoids.

Panoramic
View |
On MachuPicchu's top, the view is
breathtaking. No matter how many times one has seen this
view on the media, one cannot help but to feel overwhelmed by
the actual view of culture and history of such great
civilization. | |
