Inspired by Caroline McDonough
Caroline’s mother didn’t know what she was getting into when she planted those bean plants. Sure, they were harmless for the first few months, but after that, the world was never the same.
It all started last spring. Caroline’s mother was doing her yearly gardening and canning, and Caroline was helping her. They ended their canning with a few pinto and navy beans left, so they said “why not plant them?” So they did. And for the first three weeks, they were fine. They just grew six inches a day! Caroline was pretty sure that they’d take over the world. And you know what? She was right.
