OK so here's the story. I work for Australian Aerospace, a company contracted to the Royal Australian Air Force to do heavy Maintenance on the P-3C Orion aircraft. The Orion is a maritime surveillance plane, full of radio, radar, acoustic, infrared and magnetic sensing equipment.

NEW: Richmond airshow is coming!!! RAAF Richmond, October 21-22, 2006. Every RAAF aircraft type will be there, plus a C17, hopefully a USAF bomber and others. It's likely a USAF KC10 will be there too.
Listen in to tower VHF 135.500 AM and Ground 128.250. 37 Squadron Tarmac frequency is 365.400 AM. This is current as at September 2006. There are outdated frequencies still floating around on people's webpages. If I'm lucky enough to have my ham radio licence by then, contact me on 2 metres and I'll show you through an Orion! (I do not work for or endorse the Royal Australian Air Force, except in my taxes). Visit the official RAAF airshow site for more information.
