When Shasta learns that he is not Arsheesh the fisherman's son, he decides to escape from the cruel land of Calormen. With the help of the Talking Horse Bree and acompaned by Aravis, a fearless runaway girl, he goes north to find Narnia. Their journey is perilous but they finally reach Narnia where the air is sweet and there is freedom and happiness. Only then does Shasta discover who he really is.
