Introduction for Emily's
Dream: Knights in Ponyland© -
Star Wars Meets My Little
Ponies!!!

Join Emily as she starts her greatest adventure yet!
But it isn't an adventure this time. This time, it really isa dream.
~*~
Winter in Idaho can be rough, and winter starts early
in December for Lake Cheridan. There's talk of a snowstorm the Thursday
night before the Christmas Break (oh, please excuse that, Winter
Break). Emily comes home from a dance at her school, Lakeside Junior High.
Falling asleep, Emily enters a whole nother world: Ponyland. But very different
from the one she knows. This one is where Princess Leia rules Ponyland,
Chewbacca speaks English, and Luke Skywalker teaches the ways of the Jedi
Knights at Paradise Estate. And all of them are Ponies. Strange? Not for
a dream. Because in dreams, anything, anything, can happen. A fact
that Emily has begun to realize all too well. . .

The SW Tie-Ins ~ What to Know
~*~
~*~
In the "expanded universe" of Star
Wars novels and comic books that have been published, several plot
twists have occurred from what most people that have seen the original
trilogy know. I might as well start at the beginning, and give you a brief
and short but helpful overview of information vital to the storyline of
"Emily's Dream," with the help of one of my Christmas presents, The
Star Wars Encyclopedia.
~*~
Right after the destruction of
the second Death Star, the New Republic was formed. A few years after,
Han Solo and Princess Leia got married. They had twin children, Jacen and
Jaina, first. At this time, Luke Skywalker was running around the galaxy
trying to learn ways of the Force, and ran into a smuggler named Mara Jade,
who worked for the Emperor, secretly known as the Emperor's Hand. She had
skills in the Force, and her last assignment was to kill Luke Skywalker.
So naturally, he would be turned over to Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn
(might know him from TIE Fighter, the blue-skinned guy with red eyes),
with the help of a Dark Jedi master named Joruus C'Boath.
~*~
Now, this C'Boath was a clone,
not the real C'Boath. Being cloned, his name had another "u" in the pronunciation,
being "Joruus" instead of "Jorus." I know this is confusing, but it gets
better. Luke, Leia, Jade, Han, and the smuggler Jade worked for named Talon
Karrde traveled to where C'Boath would be waiting for Luke and Leia, so
he could turn them to the Dark Side. But it wasn't only C'Boath who was
waiting for them. So was a clone of Luke, or Luuke Skywalker. Both the
clone and C'Boath were eventually killed by Mara Jade, and Thrawn by one
of his own guards.
~*~
A year later, Leia had a third
child, whom she named Anakin after her father, and Luke was nearly turned
to the dark side by one of the two clones of Emperor Palpatine. He was
brought back to the light side with Leia's help, and they both destroyed
the two clones. Soon after, Luke, now a Jedi Master, started to search
for potential Jedi students that he would teach at the Great Temple on
Yavin 4, the old Rebel base that was used before the destruction of the
first Death Star. One of his students was killed by the spirit of a Sith
Lord of the Dark Side named Exar Kun. Another, named Kyp Durron, nearly
killed Luke and destroyed a whole star system with the Sun Crusher superweapon.
The Sun Crusher was obviously worse than the Death Star; it could cause
stars to explode, which would in turn obliterate the planets in its system.
Durron had been a prisoner in the Imperial spice mines of Kessel, and had
a grudge against the Empire for the death of his parents, and later, his
brother. With the combined strengths of his students, Exar Kun was defeated,
and the Sun Crusher was destroyed, almost costing Durron's life, that was
for a time, lost.
~*~
In the next year, now eight years
after Jedi, Luke had an "epic, but unfulfilled" romance with the
Jedi Knight Callista. Thirty years before, she had sacrificed her life
to stop the battlemoon Eye of Palpatine from annihilating a stronghold
of Jedi children and their families. She was brought back to life when
one of Luke's students, Cray Mingla, gave her life to finally destroy the
battlemoon, but before it could blow up, Cray used her Force abilities
to transfer Callista's spirit into her body. But Callista had to pay a
price to be with Luke. She could no longer feel the Force, or use it. So,
in an attempt to save the Jedi academy from being wiped out by an Imperial
admiral with a Super Star Destroyer, she left Yavin 4 in a downed TIE fighter,
caused the Destroyer to be pulled into the gas giant Yavin, and escaped
barely with her life. However, she did not return to Yavin 4.
~*~
Callista helped Leia out
of a jam a whole year after leaving Luke by honing Leia's lightsaber skills,
which later made Leia be able to fight a Hutt (the kind of being that big
slug thing that kidnapped Han Solo named Jabba) to the death. For the next
six years, life was far from uneventful for Skywalker, the Solos, and the
New Republic. But, what happened is not relevant to the storyline of E3.
The only piece of information that is important, is that fifteen years
after Return of the Jedi, seven years after Callista's departure,
Luke and the ex-smuggler Mara Jade decided to get married.

"Emily's Dream" ~ Where the
Plot Twists
~*~
~*~
Now, what you need to about the
version of Ponyland in Emily's dream actually isn't all that complicated,
unlike the five-paragraph explanation of what was happened in the SW universe
after all this time. This will take just ONE simple paragraph, and nine
pictures.
~*~
High Queen Leia Organa Solo reigns
Ponyland in the capital of Crystal Castle, far from her brother Luke Skywalker
who teaches his students the ways of the Jedi Knights - who kept Ponyland
a safe place for thousands of generations and wielded lightsabers - at
Paradise Estate; a wandering Unicorn named Callista who has lost all of
her powers; and a thickening plot to kidnap Mara Jade, Luke's wife. Storm
and Nefaria, two devious and conniving Ponies who absolutely hate Jade
and her friends, the wanderers, would just love to get back at her. And
they'll stop at nothing to get their revenge.
~*~
The rest of the story will be unfolded
as you read along. But to add to your understanding, here are the nine
