Gusty was horrified.

And Gwendamere and his mother were being hauled off to jail. In fact, they were already gone.

North Star turned her frozen gaze to Gusty. "We. . . have to do something. . . Get Mom and Aunt Planethopper!"

The two Baby Sparkles headed for the secret door, but it was already closed. They could get out only one other way.

"I guess we better leave through the other door that goes into our room," North Star stated.

"You dummy! I'm a Uni. Just hold on to me, and we'll both be out of here in a flap of a Peg's wings!" Gusty said.

"Okalie-dokalie," North Star said, locking onto her step-sister.

The sensation was amazing to her. It. . . tingled. She felt herself. . .

She felt herself dissolve into nothing.

And then they were in front of the Queen's chamber door.

Gusty immediately started kicking the door.

BANG BANG BANG!!!!

"Starhopper! Planethopper! Open up! Wake up! Miss Angelina took Gwendamere and his mother! The Gwens are in trouble!" Gusty shouted.

The door opened. Both sisters came out.

"What's all the racket for?" Starhopper asked groggily. She shook her head to get her eyes to open wider. "Galaxy! Dreamer! What's wrong?"

"Oh Mommy Miss Angelina was in the secret room and I told her everyone was back and she left and Gwendamere and Gusty came in and I thought Miss Angelina might do something drastic and now she's taken Gwenavere and Gwendamere!" North Star shouted hopping up and down.

Planethopper's mouth dropped open. "How could she. . . Why would she. . . I'm gonna stop her!" she yelled furiously, bolting down the hall.

"Hoppy stop!" Starhopper yelped.

North Star was the first to run after her. "Aunt Planethopper wait! You don't know where they've been taken! She took them to jail!"

Planethopper skidded to a halt.

Now it was Starhopper's turn to let her jaw drop open. "In jail! Oh no! We got to save them!" Suddenly her face turned sour. "That's it! Mother has gone too far!"

A shudder rippled through Planethopper's purple form. "Not jail. Not jail!"

"Come on, we can go get them now! I'll send for two guardponies to meet us at the prison. It's tiny, only as big as Gwen's old place. Come on Planethopper, girls. Follow me!"

He had been stuck in a tiny cell that he couldn't even stand up in. His mother was next to him on his right, trying to keep her head down.

"I'm sorry Mom. I know this is my fault, but I can't exactly figure out what I did yet," he apologized.

Gwenavere sighed. "It's not your fault. I'm the one who left i the first place."

"Quiet in there!" the guardpony barked. She was a very impatient Sparkle. "You'll be tried tomorrow, both of you, on treason and kidnapping charges."

"On whose order? Angelina doesn't reign anymore. Starhopper does! And she'll be here pretty soon!"

As if on cue, the door to the small jail flung open. First entered two guardponies then Gusty and North Star, and finally Starhopper Planethopper.

The prison guard had an astonished look on her face. "Your Highnesses! Oh my, ah. . . I am at your humble service."

"Then release my friends."

"I - I can't! My orders from Her Excellency Angelina are to detain the prisoners until their trial tomorrow," the guardpony stuttered.

"You will release them now. They have done no injustice. If they have, then I should be in jail too. But they haven't done anything wrong and will be released now."

The guardpony was hesitant.

Now Planethopper spoke up. "Well if you don't release them, I'm afraid I'll just have to bust them out."

The guardpony's eyes bugged out. "All right. But on one condition: run, hide, fly. Just get out of Star Castle fast. Or bear the wrath of Angelina."

She opened their cells and helped them out.

"I'm sorry Starhopper, but I'll have to turn down your offer. Gwendamere and I must get back down to Ponyland. May we stay at the village?" Gwenavere question.

"Sure, you're welcome there," the Queen answered.

"Let's go Mom," Gwendamere said with wide eyes.

They both then left the jail, and flew up into the night sky, to use the moon's help to get down to the village. As Star Castle disappeared behind him, Gwendamere didn't think he'd return. Ever.

"Mother!" Planethopper yelped in surprise. She quickly regained her composure. "Mother, you went too far this time! But we've stopped you now. The Gwens. . . are gone. Foiled again eh? Tried to stop her once, but you'll never be able to stop her again!"

Angelina was appalled. "You let them go! They were kidnapers and traitors! How could you let them go untried?"

"Because Hoppy and I are Queen now. You are not. And when the new laws, actually, when the laws are gone, what they've done would declare them as heros. And they are. So was Gusty. I believe you knew her," Planethopper said with a deadly stare.

Horror filled Angelina's face.

"You do remember!"

"Uh, Hoppy? What's the deal with her?" Starhopper said. Then she mouthed, Censor yourself! Dreamer here is Gusty's daughter!

But it was already too late.

"What about my mother?" Gusty asserted stiffly.

"N-Nothing! I don't know any Pony by that name!" Angelina defended herself.

"Other than me? Baby Gusty? Tell me, Angelina. What do you know about my mother?" Baby Gusty pressed on.

"No-oo-o!" Angelina screamed, and disappeared.

"Well she's gone," North Star stated flatly.

"So's the story about my mother," Gusty sniffed.

"I'll have Gwenavere tell you Baby Gusty. Go home now, and tell her I told her to tell you," Planethopper said with a faraway look in her eyes. "I have a feeling we better leave tomorrow for Unicornia Hopper. Star Castle is on the brink of being torn apart."
