People First of Tennessee, based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is a grass roots organization, financed by contributions. The organization's arm reaches from Washington, D.C to California, and has been instrumental ensuring the rights of disabled Americans are never put on the back burner.
Whether the issue is getting Mrs. Jones to the grocery store or fighting for disabled rights at the national level, no disability issue is considered too trivial or insurmountable.
A volunteer driven organization, People First needs community and national support to be successful in all their good works.
People First wants people out of institutions, group homes and centers and into supportive living and jobs. People First believes there should be more transportation available to the disabled in rural America. People First wants every commercial bus to have lifts for wheelchair bound persons.
People First is the largest and most active organization in the fight for disabled rights and will continue to be so with your help.
