First off, our major competitor nationwide is steam cleaning. Most of the other types of cleaning are either shampoo, dry foam, or dry cleaning. As compared to steam cleaning we are a much deeper type of cleaning. The use of pressurized water and cleaners being forced into the carpets forces the dirt to the back or backing of the carpet. Then the excess water is vacuumed or sucked off the surface, they claim that this is deep cleaning and yet when you see how often their stains return, you then realize that they were not taken out but instead forced to the backing and then as the carpet dries the stains "wick" back to the surface. With our system we spray a 100% environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-detergent, non-ionic, water soluble cleaner onto the carpet. This simply releases the dirt and grease from the carpets. We then go over the carpet with our nylon soft scrub brush followed by, where needed,100% cotton terry-cloth pads. Cotton being the most absorbent fiber, absorbs the dirt and grease from the carpet. This is aided by the use of our circular motion floor machine that provides the friction needed for aiding the soft brush and finally cotton pads in getting to all the sides of the fibers, thus allowing all the fibers to be cleaned. We have "NO" problem with the returning of any spots. We clean from the surface down to the backing and so when we leave the spots have been changed to a crystal and are in our pads and will not return after or as the carpet dries. Often when we go out either soliciting or when we are called out to demonstrate our system we request that they either have a clean carpet that was steamed or cleaned the day before or one that their carpet cleaner told them was not cleanable. It is important to note that steamers consistently call us surface cleaners, and yet they consistently LOSE the contests of cleaning with us.

Also I was working in a house with no water service, I had to use cold water, with hot water the results would have been much better. Judge for yourselves the results of the cleaning.
Of course this system has the added advantage of being dry in one hour. No need to take the furniture out of the room when cleaning, just move the furniture to one side of the room, clean, and place the furniture back on the "damp" carpet. This fast drying time is a real benefit if you have customers that are moving into a house and need the carpet cleaned at the last minute. It also is beneficial if you clean
apartment complexes, they often need them cleaned on the spur of the moment. Also if a carpet is steamed and then left to sit in the humidity of summer, often the carpet will get a musty smell to it. Carpet backing is adhered to the carpet by "latex" glue. This glue is very vulnerable to water and moisture. By damp cleaning, all these problems of carpet de-laminating are eliminated. Shampooing causes its own problems, especially the sticky residues that are left behind, that cause carpets to resoil quickly. Dry cleaning's biggest problem is it just doesn't deep clean at all, also those "sponges" often stay in the carpet for years. Technicians have cleaned carpets years after they were cleaned with the little sponges and have had excessive amounts of the sponges come to the surface and being released from the carpets. These dry cleaners often appear like a corn meal and sawdust combination and are rather hard and gritty. All that left in the carpet can not be good for the carpet. So as you can see, there are plenty of different types of cleaning out there. We have gone against all of them, many times, and have yet to come across one that will do a better job of cleaning the carpets.
The difference was simply getting the dirt out instead of forcing in down into the carpet.
Our cleaning product leaves "NO" sticky residue and carpets stay clean longer. Also the carpets are usually left quite wet with the shampooing method, although there are dry foam methods that are drier, they still have the residue problems.
