I wanted to do a page that would inspire and hopefully give comfort to people who come and visit me.
I have been a Christian all my life and always knew when I was little that I had a friend named Jesus. It was in my being, in my soul and I knew that the Almighty God was with me through all things. As I get older, this knowledge has more and more meaning for me.
There have also been times that I KNEW that the Lord was working in my life. Circumstance were so grave and it didn't look like there was any hope at all for things to work out good. The Lord would reach His mighty hand into my circumstances and intercede and I would be humbled and literally shaking with the pure love and kindness that my Lord showed to me. These are the kinds of things that I want to share with you and want you to have in your life!!!
And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to HIS purpose.
Romans 8:28
This is my favorite scripture. . . the one that gets me through each and everyday and all circumstances. When I doubt, when I'm hurting, I fall back on this scripture to give me encouragement and peace.
The main reason that I paint is that I feel called to this "purpose". I know that God has given me a "gift" to draw and paint. . . a gift of creativity. I didn't do anything with this gift for a long time. I felt I should be doing something "better" with my life, until God showed me that He gave me this gift of creativity and it was a sin for me not to use it, to share my painting with others in His name! Do you have a "gift" from God that you're not using? Think about this and ponder it with your heart. . . you may be missing out on the greatest life you could have because you are not using your "gifts" from the Lord. The Lord does not want us to be unhappy. When I was doing what I felt I should be doing, believe me I was NOT happy. The minute I freed myself to paint, design and pursue my creative work, my happiness level went through the roof and I made my life much happier and in the process, my family is much happier. You know what they say. . . if Mama ain't happy, nobody is happy. . . this is true!!! *grin*
PRAYER CIRCLE
What I feel God is calling me to do, is form an internet prayer circle. I have seen the power of a prayer circle and know the power of prayer. The one book that I have read that profoundly changed my life is "What Happens When Women Pray" by Evelyn Christensen. This book taught me how to pray, when to pray and what to pray for. I was a part of a women's prayer circle in Nevada that used this book as a basis for our prayers and I saw miracles happen!! That is what I would like to have happen again, through a prayer circle on the internet.
This circle would be based on biblical scripture and on God, which is really LOVE. This prayer circle will be a circle of love and faith. I would like to call all you who are interested in being a part of this circle to join me in praying for others. I know that we will see wonderful things happen not only for others, but for ourselves.
