A trip to Cookham in July 2002 to find 11 Roman Lea - to see what I could find out about Wilfrid Froes - On arrival at Cookham I found it to be a very picturesque village with many tourists around. I eventually found 11 Roman Lea - a semi detached house along a small road. I knocked on the door and entered into conversation with the occupants (they had lived there for almost 40 Years) - I was invited in to look at the deeds of the property. After looking through the deeds before and after 1937 it appeared that Wilfred did not own this Property, but possibly rented it - no mention of Wilfred Froes could be found on any of the deeds.
