Infineon, a competitor, acquired the Microelectronics business of Ericsson in September 2002. My team was briefly retained to assure a smooth transition of representatives, products, business opportunities, order backlog, business processes, receivables and inventory into the Infineon sales system.

ERICSSON INC., MICROELECTRONICS, Richardson, Texas                               1990 – 2002

LM Ericsson’s 2500 person Microelectronics group headquartered in Stockholm developed Wired and Wireless Integrated Circuits, Power Modules, RF Transistors, EDFAs, Lasers, Transponders and Receivers.

Held positions of increasing financial and sales responsibility.

 

Vice President – Ericsson Inc, Microelectronics                                              1998-2002     

·                    Managed North American Business Unit: Finance, Customer Service, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Communications, Engineering and Sales serving diverse markets including Telecom, Computer, Automotive, PDAs, Fiber Optics and Personal Area Wireless.   Staff of 25.

·                    Full financial responsibility.  Achieved $60M in annual revenue, a  42% increase in sales.

Manufacturer of Opto and Hall Effect switches dominated applications in computers, copiers, printers and automotive.
