Maintained, co-developed and enhanced a
custom reporting Visual Basic system using several Oracle databases, Crystal Reports, and Excel. Redesigned the options to print several Crystal Reports using ADO recordsets
(used the Crystal API CreateFieldDefFile) as the data source which resulted in
report generation times to decrease from several hours to less than five
minutes increasing productivity and client acceptance of the system. Used several Windows APIs to perform system task
that increased performance. Developed a method to transfer data to an Excel workbook for display and charting
purposes. Made application updates as business rules changed. Pseudo coded major updates for review with
the client prior to final development. Supported several
hundred End Users in three states.

new site on the corporate Intranet using HTML
coding for accessing electronic forms designed with JetForm. Developed a second page to the gas bill for
commercial customers that displays two charts for gas
used and heating degree days. This was
developed using Visual Basic. Developed a Visual Basic application for the Gas Supply department to inventory
contract documents and analyze mainframe contract data. The mainframe data was downloaded using 3270
software. Created a Visual Basic program to read and parse the downloaded data files
and then append the data into the appropriate Access database table.

Created a district forms database using
Visual Basic with an Access database. This application used the Visual Tools
'Formula One' add in software which emulates Excel from within Access and Visual Basic
applications. This application lead to
an Access forms database and
application to track expenditures. Responsible for the Revenue Variance, the
Well Information and Tracking System and Plant Design PC databases all
developed in MicroRim's R:Base,
(a 100% ANSI SQL RDBMS PC database system).
