  • Led software development teams and coached project leaders on implementing new processes.
  • Introduced the Rational Unified Process (RUP), an object-oriented methodology (OOM) for software development, that emphasized iterative development and visual modeling (UML) and resulted in reducing risk and improving quality on new technology projects.
  • Provided software quality assurance (SQA) support for projects consisting of 10-40 engineers, ensuring that high quality was attained while still meeting scheduled delivery dates.
  • Spearheaded a process improvement effort that resulted in attaining level 3 in the Software Capability Maturity Model (SW-CMM) for a 300-member R&D department.
