About this site
For the time being, the purpose of this site is to display my portfolio and resume on the
internet. As time permits, I will include some descriptive text to explane what some of
the images on the following pages actually are. In the future, using images or shockwave
files, I may also include an engineering summery of the Confederation Bridge.
About me
For the past 31/2 years I have been employed as the Senior Draftsman by Strait Crossing
Inc.; the consortium responsible for the construction of the Confederation Bridge. As an
employee of SCI, I feel that I was an important member of a large team of professionals.
By sharing a strong passion, commitment and collective innovation, we constructed one of
the worlds greatest engineering achievements. My experience on this project has truly been
enjoyable and educational, I have had the privilege to work closely with many of the most
advanced bridge design concepts and some of the top engineering professionals in the
world. I have also had the opportunity to explore and work in depth with several excellent
software packages.
My position at SCI may have been more accurately defined as Draftsman/Technical
Illustrator. I feel that some of my greatest contributions as a member of the SCI team was
my versatility, my ability to adapt to the daily requirements of the job and my use of
computer generated graphics to convey information in a creative way.
I feel that I have a good balance of technical and artistic skills in combination with
a strong learning ability and an aptitude for computers. I am a dedicated hard worker with
a great deal of creative energy who enjoys a challenge.
I have experience in Drafting, 3D Modelling, Technical Illustration, and Website
Design.
