YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!!

The Williamson County and Austin ReDefeat Bush Committee is joining forces with ReDefeatBush.com to help register one million new Democratic voters in swing states. The Calling Crew will consist of volunteers from Williamson County/Austin, etc.... We will contact people who are not currently registered to vote in those pivotal states.

We are now calling the state of Oregon.

This is a grassroots, nationwide effort!! ReDefeatBush.com is coordinating the database so that each group is assigned lists of currently unregistered voters. Volunteers will contact the potential voters by telephone. Those interested are then mailed the the voter registration form for their signature, along with a cover letter. They will only need to complete the form and mail it to their respective state or county agency. Follow-up calls will ensure that these people have received and mailed their registrations.

Volunteers will be provided a suggested script and tally sheet. As we do not have funds for long distance calls, callers are encouraged to utilize free night and weekend cell phone minutes so as to not incur any out-of-pocket expense. The caller will document each successful contact to ensure that every potential voter has been contacted or attempted.

Our official meeting place will be at 102 Old Bowman Road in Round Rock (Take Mays Street, .4 miles North from intersection with Hwy 79). Meetings will be announced via e-mail or phone if you do not have e-mail. We will also be able to use the copier.

Even if you do not have a cell phone you can participate. We will need "runners" during calling sessions to make sure callers have supplies they need, write in the salutations on cover letters, address and stuff envelopes, affix stamps, run off copies if needed, etc. in order to free up time for callers so they can keep calling. People are also needed to write letters.

This is a central location for everyone to "be on the same page" where we can send out notices, and where those notices are archived for others to check on later if need be, and where everyone can post files, post links, check the calendar, set up polls (to decide things like meeting times, ask for feedback and brainstorming, etc.
