We know that there were 2 older sons of Frederick - Jacob and John - who were old enough to be living away from home at the time of the 1841 Census and who subsequently emigrated to Australia aboard the INDIAN . They did not keep in touch through some problem. This is alluded to in John’s letter home of 28 Sep. 1879. John appears to have become quite successful farmer and local identity in Huntly, Victoria.
