HALON 1211 is a liquified gas, pressurized with nitrogen, which discharges as a vapor causing no cold or static shock and no impairment of the operator's vision. Because of its cooling effect, Class A ratings are available in the larger sizes while all chemically interfere with the chain reaction of Class B type fires and are electrically non-conductive.
