Click Me To Come In

Howdy everyone. Welcome to my website. Hopefully things are going smoothly for all of you. Before I go any further, I would like to give a quick 411 about myself. My full name is David (BRUCE) Lee. I am 27 years old and currently I reside in the state of Minnesota. I graduated at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, majoring in Management Information Systems. There is still a lot of work I need to do on this website. Therefore, if you happen to click on a link that malfunctions, please let me know and I will get on top of it. Please feel free to leave me comments or suggestions in my guestbook. Thanks.

Before you start clicking away, I would like to share with you a few words about me and my family's background.

My parents were sponsored from Laos in 1976 as political refugees during the closing hour of the Vietnam Conflict. In January of 1977, I was born in a small farming town called Cumberland, Wisconsin. In Cumberland, my parents began learning English and soon learned that other Hmong families were moving into the city of St. Paul. Seeking the opportunity to join their friends, my parents along with my brother and sister moved to St. Paul, Minnesota.

Throughout my childhood years, I had the luxury to grow up in various parts of the country such as Wisconsin, California, Colorado, and Minnesota. After moving to several states, my family finally came back and settled down in Minnesota in the summer 1992. I attended Como Park Senior High School in St. Paul and had a wonderful experience. I made many valuable friends and graduated as "Top Ten" of my class. I wasn't all that popular, but I managed to be crowned Prince for HomeComing my senior year.

In the fall of 1995, I attended the U of MN - Twin Cities. As a typical "wild" Freshmen, I hung out with people that enjoyed partying. "But what the heck, you're young only once right?" *Smiling* As the years went by, I mellowed out. I was fortunate enough to keep my grades up while being involved in multiple extracuricular activities. I graduated at the U of MN in the winter of '99' with a degree in Business and an emphasis on Management Information Systems. I plan to continue my education and learn more about my field of study in the coming years.

Currently, I am employed by IBM Corporation. I began my IBM career as an AS/400 IT Specialist in the Twin Cities. I worked with many customers in the Twin Cities area troubleshooting their AS/400 machines. I did this for about a year and then moved on and joined the IBM National Testing Practice. In the past few years, I have been traveling for my job as a consultant assisting IBM customers with their software application testing needs.

L ooking back, I am extremely content that I have made it this far. Sometimes, I wonder how I made it through high school and college with flying colors. I guess it's all about committment and priortizing tasks. It was definitely a great learning experience for me. Of course there were times when I got frustrated with school. "But hey, everything can't go as smoothly as you like. Well, if you win the lottery, you might be able to pay your way through school." *Wink* Anyway, I encourage everyone to go to college and try it out. If it's not for you, there are plenty of other things you can do. Remember.. America is the land of opportunity. Why not use it [legally] to your advantage. Okay, I think it's time for me to go. Take care of yourself everyone and remember to behave every now and then. Again, thanks for stopping by to visit me on the net. By now..
