This jacket was inspired by a leather jacket I saw in a magazine--price tag $500.  Well, if you are going to copy something, don't go to a cheap outfit, right??

I used a heavy sueded cotton fabric.  The designs are from a Pfaff disk, #382.  I edited the designs to get the colors and look I wanted.  The pattern is Vogue 7976,  Today's Fit by Sandra Betzina.

I did the top stitching with a 6.0 triple stitch with rayon thread.

I have seen designs on jacket sleeves a lot lately in ready-to-wear, so I used a smaller design on each sleeve.  I believe that since we can, we should go the extra mile (or stitch) in this case.  This jacket pattern has a hip or below hip length.  I prefer the hip length.

Don't forget the back!  I almost always add something to the back.  It may be a design over the shoulder from the front or a yoke design as shown here.  Remember to make a statement as you leave--the same as when you enter!!
