This is the Oriental Fan Vest pattern by June Colburn. The pattern was featured in the December '98 Sew News, page 62, and is available on her website. I used a Hoffman cotton print with an oriental look which my mom had purchased sometime ago. The back is made from the same print. |

This is a close-up of the foundation pieced fan on the right front. I used solid cottons along with the print edged in gold cording. This is a flattering vest, and I like the fit. The closure is an antique button which I thought looked like bamboo. |
