Step 11

In this step, you will clip all seam allowances in 1/2 to 3/4" intervals to but not through the stitching.  Don't forget to clip around the outside edge of the quilt in the same manner.

Step 12

This is a good time to add any personalization to the quilt.  I used red thread in the bobbin as well as the needle since it will show on the right side and that square is red.  If you don't like the idea of it showing on the other side, embroider your square before you sandwich it in Step 3.

Step 13

The last step is washing and drying the quilt to make the seam allowances fray.  You will have lots of fraying in the washing machine, so you may want to use a laundromat for this.  It could clog up a good filter.  I washed and dried my quilt twice and here it is!
