This is my "retro" shirt made from an old pattern in my stash that I actually bought in the 70's. It cost $1.25 at the time. Wish those prices were retro, too, but guess those days are gone forever. I used a gold cotton remnant for the center front and back panels and pieces of a skirt that I washed and shrunk (really) for the side panels and sleeves. They just happened to match. The shisha mirrors design is from Cathy Park's India group. I ordered the mirrors from Treadle Art. I love this concept, Cathy, and thank you for the designs. The gold thread that looks like large stippling was already on the remnant. I didn't do that! | |
Well, of course, I had to have jeans to match and bring all this retro stuff together, so I found some beads on a tape that I had bought at Carole Little's outlet and added the purchased trim. I sound like a "one-man band" when I walk with all these beads, but who cares? It's fun! |
