This robe made out of polarfleece was done for a class I taught on "sculpturing" fleece.  I used an open design from the Viking Library, card 101, for the embroidery down each front.  I combined 2 and 1/2 designs for this row on each side.  I used Kwik Sew pattern #2727.

I used a technique which I saw in the October '01 issue of Sew News to give a ribbed look to the fleece on the cuff, collar and pockets.  It is done by sewing rows of twin needle pintucks on the fleece.  This is a very good alternative when you can't find ribbing to match your garment.
