This is a valance that I have made for my guest bedroom. I used designs from HV card 109. These designs done for Viking by Jeanne Harrison are exquisite. The fan on this end is an applique. The Ginger Jar would be applique except that on black fabric, I just embroidered without adding applique fabric. |

This was a project that I sort of designed as I went. I embroidered the designs on black cotton fabric, cut them out in the pointed shape. I used mauve decorator piping and added a tassel to each one made from fringe. I had to insert cardboard in each panel so they would stay flat. They are attached to a fabric covered board put up with angle brackets. |
