A Letter to Famous Fashion Designers (Sat, 21 Mar 1998)

Hi, I just surf to your homepage. As you are a leading fashion designer, can I ask you a question?

Do you think that eventually clothing for men and women will be merged without any more difference?

Recently I have seen some 'male' look suit (with tie) designed for women. Likewise, some men's suit are having flowers as pattern.

Some men like me also think that men can look very good in skirt, pantyhose and high-heels (shaved, long and slim legs are of course the requirements).

What do you think?

Can I invite you to visit my homepage, fighting for men's right to have clothing of much wider varieties (i.e. more colors, more patterns, more types, etc)?

If you accept what I propose, it will be much appreciated if you can discuss with other great fashion designers and let me know what fashion designers think.

Also, if you also think that you can help to speed up the trend, I can link your site to mine so that more men can give you more idea.

Thank you.

On 16 April, DKNY finally replied me very briefly.

Dear Lewis,

Thank you for contacting the Donna Karan Company and expressing your views regarding the direction of men's and women's apparel.

We have forwarded your information to the proper divisions. Again, we would like to thank you for contacting the Donna Karan Company and expressing your views.

Sincerely, Joanne Beck, Consumer Relations

May be you will also send a mail to Joanne?
