Men who wear nylon pantyhose or women lingerie/clothing are abnormal.
I have already mentioned a lot to explain this query in the presentation. Some figures show that 5-10% of men are wearing so called women's underwear when they are brought into a hospital emergency room.
Also, if the query is correct, how about many years ago some women fought for the right to wear pants, heavy boots etc. which were MEN's things at that time? Were they all abnormal??? AND NOW the society totally ACCEPTS this because of their effort! 'Sportive', 'Executive', 'Sociable', 'Cowboy' look women are found everywhere, and are as good as feminine lady look.
Why we men instead are immediately labelled negatively only when we SAY that we like to wear nylon-pantyhose or feminine style clothing? So, all men in Scotland are abnormal because they wear kilt?
In this modern society if anyone is still stubborn, I can guarantee he/she cannot survive.
In the previous Leggs forum someone had visited many hoisery/undergarment manufacturers, hoisery stores, chain stores, fashion designer etc. and estimated that in fact 5-15% men were wearing so called 'ladies' hoisery or undergarment! They wear pantyhose (as well as stockings, scantihose and the like) for a seemingly endless list of reasons. (Go ask your husband, if you are a woman, to see whether he has ever thought or EVEN TRIED your lingerie!)
The average male pantyhose wearer is hetero-sexual, early 30's to late 40's, mid to upper income, with the largest percentage holding some form of a "white collar" job.
The average male, more often than not, is married or in some form of a committed relationship--quite often with a good family.
The result to the inquiry of Thomas Inquiry Result Page is showing almost the same information.
Men who wear pantyhose are embarrassing.
We need to know which is the cause and what is the effect. Again, please re-study LOGIC! Men who wear pantyhose are embarrassing ONLY BECAUSE men are labelled immediately if they wear pantyhose.
In fact, I would say that this is only a matter of taste. Some men like wearing sport suits most of the time but some are always in 3-piece suit and tie. Even for women, someone like wearing pantyhose and high-heels, but some are strongly against them and feel them uncomfortable.
And another thing: is there any more embarrassing than the million times seen male combination of "suit with dark trousers - white tennis socks?" Wouldn't it look very much better with the combination of "dark trousers - dark-nylon socks and narrow head shoes"?
Men who wear pantyhose must have some mental problem!
Nonsense! Does a man automatically becomes a mentally retardant if he loves to wear a pleasant clothing, that is a so called women's clothes? Isn't then a woman also crazy if she finds it more comfortable to wear (men's-) boxer or pants instead of a skirt?
Have the men in the 13th - 16th century times which have been much harder and lack comfort, been mad only because they have worn pantyhose?
Are male-ballet-dancers abnormal, when they perform their extremely hard training in pantyhose?
Men who wear pantyhose are no "real men" and will soon like to have a gender-change operation.
Again, some women wanted to wear pants many years ago, while the society could not accept it. Go find some books to see if they were in fact want to have a gender-change operation, or that they were actually pioneer.
Pantyhose is just a fetish. So, pantyhose must not be for men!
Firstly, pantyhose is not only a fetish -- it can be practical.
Then, let's have a look to women's fashion: here you find a lot of fetish in the past, which are normal today ... boots, nylons, leather, lace, TIE and so on.
If the society widely accepts this, this will become no more a fetish!
Or, under similar logic, some men have a fetish on rope, chain or even TIE etc., shall we not accept men to wear tie?
Then, some women have a rubber or leather fetish. Yet, they will still find a lot of clothing like that in ORDINARY stores to satisfy their 'fetish'. They wear them in public without any problem.
In the course of equality of human rights, men should be allowed to dress the same way as for women.
This is extremely correct. Why is it only a women's right to wear all (!) the traditional garment of men?
A big German women's magazine in 1996 printed a new (picturized) trend for women with the slogan: "What fits to him will be as well for her ...". The background was, that the women should take out their men's or friends' pants and slips to wear them officially. What an unbelievable scandal would raise, if magazines like "Men's health" or others would print the same thing, only vice versa.
Fact is that women have fought for their right they have nowadays (including to wear everything they like) and they have had a little help from the official side like fashion-designers or prominent persons. They even have different choices of pants etc. in various percentage of masculine/feminine look combinations.
However, for men to fight for some rights, people just say 'Hey come on! You are a MAN!'
Remember, trousers for women are fit for good society just since Marlene Dietrich, and jackets for women were first presented in the mid-sixties in Paris. Don't you think it's time to start a little fight for our own interest?
If you are correct that pantyhose can also be for men, why are they not wearing them openly?
I'm sure!
Sadly, men dare not do this JUST BECAUSE they will probably immediately be labelled 'abnormal' and may loss social security! This is especially true if you are in a Chinese society!
Women are allowed to wear all kind of clothing. They can choose whatever they want to suit their taste. It only makes sense, if men could do the same without directly being called abnormal.
No one stops you wear pantyhose. Moreover, you can wear it privately, or just hide it. Why do you still do so many things?
Well, there are 4 main reasons.
Firstly, I hate the feeling of being 'Underground'. Why must I have a feeling like committing crime while I am only doing a harmless thing which the society does not accept?
Secondly, pantyhose is just a practical legwear which can be dressed with shorts etc. No one can hide them in such a case.
Third, the MOST IMPORTANT, is that, why should we hide them? We are not damaging anyone anything.
Fourth, I have beautiful legs. Why can't I show them off just like other women do? In fact nothing from men's collection serves the same function.
Please, listen to me again, I'm not talking about FORCING men to wear pantyhose. I'm only talking about the RIGHT for men to choose to wear pantyhose and other so called feminine clothing!
(If it is 'allowed', I really would like to wear a skirt, a pair of sheer pantyhose and a pair of 3" high-heels and walk around in public!)
There is no law that prohibits men to wear nylon, silk and satin. There must be some reasons why fashion designers do not make them.
??? What is the reason? Is it the cause or the result? If the public accepts, the market is huge!
The propaganda of the lingerie- and pantyhose-producers always highlight about "nice and comfortable material", "sensational to wear feelings", "extra caress for your legs" and "smooth to your skin".
After all, these advertising slogans are right, but sorry to men: you are not allowed to be caressed by a clothing and you are also not allowed to wear nice and comfortable materials.
Is it really the thing, that a man's body is poor of any feelings, so that material is not a matter in men's clothing?
NO! I comment that the first businessmen who explore this market will be rich immediately.
Pantyhoses can be very useful, so why should men not take advantage of this?
In fact we want to! In autumn and winter, pantyhose give you warmth, but not that extremely warm like regular long pants, which will cause you sweat very soon, especially in humid weather like Hong Kong. Even many people think that pantyhose are much more comfortable then these longs. (Many others may not accept, but it is only up to individuals' subjective feeling.)
On cool days in spring or autumn, in combination with shorts, pantyhose not only makes you warm but also gives your legs a better look than the naked legs, especially if you have a poor suntan.
Next thing is, that in summer, pantyhose or nylon knee-highs prevents you from getting blisters or scratchy wounds, if you compare bare feet in shoes.
Why men is not taking advantage of this? Please refer back to the question 'If you are correct, why men do not wear pantyhose openly?'
In men's fashion, there is enough variety, so there is no reason for them to use women's clothing too. The fact is that there are some clothing specially made for men and some for women. And sorry, pantyhose isn't made for men
First, 'enough' variety doesn't mean extra variety is not welcomed. In fact, many people agree that choices for men are limited - not very colorful, not many pattern, not many design...
Second, who defines what is absolutely for men, or what is for women? And that women are allowed to wear ALL (!) of the so called men's clothes.
Third but not least, under similar logic, pants would never be for women BECAUSE no one had the power to re-define pants could be for women in the past.
In fact, pantyhose cannot be replaced by other clothings in some situations.
Men's legs are too hairy to be covered only by such a fine, transparent garment like sheer pantyhose.
Yes, hairy legs look ugly in hose. So, women, listen, if you have hairy legs, you are not allowed to wear pantyhose.
Do not agree? Yes, why don't those men or women just SHAVE THE HAIR?
Men's legs look too mean in thin nylons.
This again is a matter of taste. And more than that, it's only what the society shapes a man's and a woman's image.
Why should men always be hard and tough (so called masculine)? Why should women always be soft and dependent (so called feminine)? But yet, women still have a choice to be 'masculine'.
Isn't there any moment when a man want to be more 'feminine'?
Men, who enjoy wearing pantyhose in public, only want to live their exhibitionistic obsession.
Let's have look from the another point of view:
How about women, who wear transparent blouses, and short, deep cut out dresses or small swimsuits? That is only a little step to nudity! This is probably also a form of exhibitionism, but nobody (nearly) speaks about that and many will even say 'Wao, beautiful woman!'
Then, some musclemen also like to show their shape in public. Same category?
Of course, we are not talking about some abnormal men who go to playgrounds and show their tiny sticks in front of the kids there, or shock elder women with this.
If a man has a pair of well-shaped legs, why can't he show them, just like some women do?
Pantyhose are simply too fine and sheer to the roughness and strength of men. Pantyhose and manhood simply are not corresponding.
Some women like to wear heavy boots, jeans, worker clothes or woodcutters outfit etc.? How should we comment them if we accept this query?
And more, again, it's only the society's perception on a 'MAN' or a 'WOMAN'!
In fact not all men are that rough.
What is better to wear for one man is very individual and everyone should choose by himself what is looking best for him. Finally, "women's fashion" shows that jeans, flat shoes and trousers can be combined very well with fine stockings or shiny and sheer nylon.
Men will not look good in pantyhose.
I have mentioned a lot in above questions.
Here is one more viewpoint. Yes, we have to admit, unfortunately, that body-care is an unknown word for lots of men even today. Manicure, Peeling, Shaving, Colorize, etc. ... in hard men's world this is often called kinky ladies stuff.
In fact, pantyhose wearing men are much more in body-care and fashion as the average man. That means, this group looks mostly more "well shaped" as other men.
The Cosmetical Industry tries for years to convince those men with badly body-care to use creams and other stuff as well as women. Those products aren't very different to those for women. A very new example is "Candy Man" from Dinah Mohajer for men which opponent is "Hard Candy" for women. This nail polish is even advertised in current women-magazines.
I comment that nyloned feet look better than barefeet because a) the light colorizing of nylon is very positive and b) the toes will be side-by-side through the light tension of nylons, so that they aren't spread as bare toes. This will complete a tall and elegant silhoutte.
In some countries there is Law to protect the women that 'Men must not dress like a woman'.
Only I can say is 'Nonsense'!
If this is true and if someone is wearing a skirt/dress, you know that she is a female. However, if someone is wearing a pant or in a 'male-like' outlook, can you tell whether it is a male or female?
If this kind of law is valid, we need to make sure that there are certain clothing for men and the rests are only for women. They must be mutually exclusive.
i.e. Women, sorry, you are not allowed to wear pants, not allowed to be in short hair, not allowed to be in flat shoes, not allowed in . . .
I would say that this kind of LAW is against human's right and must be REMOVED immediately.
On the other hand, please remember that I am not talking about crossdressing. Men in pantyhose/skirt etc. will still look like a men.
I can see that you always mention male can be feminine. Are you a feminine-look person?
No, I am not. In fact many pantyhose-men like me is very masculine. (I do not have scanner or digital camera at this moment. If I get a chance I will definitely post some photos here. You can see a man like me can look very good, but not female-like, in short skirt, sheer pantyhose and high-heels!)
Moreover, we are not talking about wearing pantyhose 168 hours per week! We are just asking for the right to choose!
If at a certain time I want to express myself more on my feminine side, why can't I wear a black short skirt, a pair of sheer pantyhose and a pair of 3" black fashion high-heels?
So, how should we sell this concept to the public?
The key question here!
Please see my other pages for more details.
The key is that we must START it NOW! Otherwise I don't see during our life time we can have one day we can wear so called 'female' clothes in public proudly! More and more men should wear pantyhose etc. openly, NOT afraid of being fingerpointed.
Moreover, if you know some men of similar thinking (fight for the right!), who are a fashion designer, prominent people etc., ask them to support! In fact I am more than happy to be a model in a fashion show in Hong Kong so that I can promote men-in-skirt/pantyhose.
Don't wait until it is too late. Don't expect the world will change for you if you do nothing.
