This is my oldest pair. I found them in a remainder box in a Roeckl
shop 8 years ago. They look a little bit used today, and - o.k. - they
had been used quite often ... |
These wonderful red driving gloves are twins to the black ones in 'Collection
- Part 1'. I bought them together - in a reminder box in a huge department shop. |

This pair is from a vintage clothing shop. They are specialized on clothing from before 1900. And they have a huge source of leather gloves (the shop
is located here in Munich). My/our first over-the-elbow gloves, very lady-like,
with three small buttons at the wrist. |
Flea markets, a good source. I like the small holes - you can see the
skin, but you can't touch it ... |
|
|
They are 'Made in France', the color is bordeaux red (but the scan
isn't so nice). They are silk lined inside, very supple leather, just the
right gloves for colder spring or warmer autumn days ... and they match
perfectly to a brown suede leather jacket ... |
Christian-Dior - black thin soft leather, unlined. My favorites. I
bought them last year in London, Covent Garden flea market. Just by accident.
It was a cold November morning, and then I saw these perfect gloves. |

The smell is so rich, pure leather, wonderful. They have no buttons
at the wrist because the leather is from such a good quality that it fits
the arm perfectly. |
If I see this gloves I dream of the days when it was impossible for
a Lady to leave the house without her gloves, maybe gloves like these ...
and you see, I also dream about other things ... ;-) |
