This face is the first Barbie face. It is also used on the reproduction dolls such as Silken flame, Wedding Day and Solo in the Spotlight
Twist N' Turn
This face is the second Barbie face which debuted in 1967. The doll pictured is the 1998 reproduction Twist N' Turn wearing Smasheroo.
Superstar
This face is the most recognized Barbie face. This one debuted on the Superstar Barbie in 1977.
Mackie
This face is commonly known as the Mackie face because it debuted on Bob Mackie's Neptune Fantasy. Originally reserved for collector dolls in the US and play line dolls in Japan, this face is now being used on the play line in the US on dolls such as Rapunzel, Bead Blast, Sticker Craze.
Teresa
This face commonly known as the Teresa face debuted on the Rollerblade Teresa in 1992. Barbies who use this face are Mexican, Puerto Rican and Princess.
Spain
This face originally appeared on the Spain Barbie. Since then, many Hispanic and black dolls have used this face in the 1980s.
Christie
This face debuted in 1988. Barbies who use this face are Radiant in Rose, Gap, the Happy Holiday series.
Shani
This face originally appeared on the Shani doll, a Barbie friend. Ghanian Barbie and Symphony in Chiffon are the only Barbies to use this face to date.
Asha
This beautiful face is my favorite of all the black dolls. Originally used for Asha, a doll in the Shani line, dolls such as Shopping Chic, Charity Ball and Bead Blast use it as well.
Nichelle
Nichelle, another doll in the Shani line, is the first doll to use this face. Kenyan, Starlight Dance, and Tangerine Twist feature this lovely close lipped face.
Bead Blast
uses this face as well as Asha.
Kira
This face was created for the Oriental doll in the DOTW collection. Many Asian dolls use this face such as Thai, Arctic and Japenese Barbies.
Teen Talk
This face was used on the Teen Talk dolls in 1991. Other dolls who use this are Snap and Play, Bath Blast and Soda Fountain Sweetheart.
Steffie
Originally used for the Steffie doll, many other Barbies have borrowed this face such as the Oshogatsu dolls and the upcoming Bob Mackie Fantsy Goddess of Asia.
Talk With Me
This face debuted in 97 with the Talk With Me Barbie. The black and white versions use the same face. This is the only Barbie to use this face to date.
