Prof S S Chaubal Thank you for visiting my home page. I am from the city of Pune, in the state of Maharashtra in India. I am a retired Professor. I was teaching Mathematics in Government Engineering College at Karad and then in Fergusson College, Pune. I got involved in Computers way back in 1966 and was fascinated by their various possible applications. Soon I started free-lance programming, in FORTRAN and in assembly languages. In 1969, I started a Computer Training Institute in Pune; "PHI BETA KAPPA", the very first Institute in the city to teach Programming, Systems and Computer Science. In 1976 I started giving consultancy services in MIS to Industries in Pune, designing data processing systems for clients. During 1976 to 1988, I conducted innumerable in-house courses in Computers for executives and managers of various Companies. With advancing age, I started having health problems. Doctors advised me to change the life-style. So I retired from hectic life of consulting and lecturing. Now surfing on internet is my most favourite pastime. I have authored about 20 books on Mathematics; all college level textbooks. At present, I am writing books on Computer Science. The textbook for Class XI was published in 2002. The textbook for Class XII came out in December 2005. In March 2006, while I was in U.S., I wrote and published the book "Operating System Concepts" for U.S. students. It is listed on google search and available on amazon.com. Information about these books is available on my website. My students are spread all over the world. Many of them are in USA, UK and Australia. Click here to E-mail me |
