    What's an FAQ for?

FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions, as in "Here's a bunch of frequently asked questions we don't want to have to deal with all the time."

The FAQ will be posted weekly and by request. It is momentarily not available online.

    back to contents

    What is ABPEU?

ABPEU is short for alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform. It is a newsgroup.

The 'alt' is used to categorize newsgroups with 'offbeat' tastes. The 'binaries' means that this newsgroup will accept all manner of multimedia posts. The 'pictures' means that we limit ourselves to pictures; if you have some other file type (ie .avi, .mpg, etc) ask permission first!

Unlike some binaries newsgroups, text files are allowed here as well.

The 'erotica' means that this newsgroup contains content that may be construed as sexual in nature. No one under 18 should subscribe to this newsgroup.

The 'uniform' will be discussed later. alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform is dedicated to women in uniform. There is a moderated group for men in uniform (alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform.male.moderated) and also an unmoderated one (alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform.male).

You will be politely requested to move to the abovementioned news groups if you post male-oriented pictures here, since our focus is on females. Wilful ignoring this request and continuing posting gay pictures to ABPEU will result in complaints being sent to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) which (in case of repeated violations) can result in your account to be terminated.

Where can I find pictures of women in uniform online?

    Uniform-related Newsgroups

The primary NG for women in uniform is this one, ABPEU.

Other good groups to try include:

     ABNC  alt.binaries.nospam.cheerleaders
     ABPNJ-H  alt.binaries.nospam.julia-hayes
     ABNS  alt.binaries.nospam.sappho
     ABNT  alt.binaries.nospam.teenfem
     ABNTN  alt.binaries.nospam.teenfem.nonude
     ABNTR  alt.binaries.nospam.teenfem.repost
     ABPB  alt.binaries.pictures.bluebird
     ABPEN  alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.nuns
     ABPEP  alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.pigtails
     ABPHN  alt.binaries.pictures.horny.nurses
     ABPES  alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.spanking
     ABPJ-G  alt.binaries.pictures.joanne-guest
     ABPS  alt.binaries.pictures.suze
     ABPSR  alt.binaries.pictures.suze.repost
     ABS  alt.binaries.spanking
     AFT  alt.fan.televisionx
     AMH  alt.mag.hustler
     AMP  alt.mag.penthouse

Most of these newsgroups are self-explanatory:

The 'pigtails' NG contains photosets of female models wearing their hair in pigtails.  Schoolgirl and cheerleader pictures are not uncommon there.

The 'suze' groups are dedicated to the pictures of photographer Suze Randall, many of which contain female models in uniform.

The 'teenfem' groups are dedicated to photosets of young (i.e., legal - 18-20 years of age) female models, some of which may contain uniforms.

The 'sappho' group is dedicated to picture series of lesbians, but they also end up with a fair number of uniform images.

Julia Hayes and Joanne Guest are british models who do a fair bit of uniform work. Postings in these NGs are rarely clearly labelled as featuring uniforms, so downloading and viewing the index files is the only way to find out.

The bluebird newsgroup is for the Japanese scans of the same name. Schoolgirl pictures are not uncommon there.

The 'nuns' newsgroup is dedicated to, you guess it, sexy models in and out of nun habits.  See the "Alf's resource file for nuns" section of this FAQ for more details about that newsgroup and related resources.

The spanking NGs at times contain pictures of female models dressed as either, say, schoolgirls, secretaries, or nurses.

Alt.fan.televisionx is devoted to the discussion or posting pictures of british female models who appeared on the Television X cable channel in the UK and british female glamour/porn models in general.  Pictures of those models in uniform are not uncommon there.

Alt.mag.hustler and alt.mag.penthouse are NGs devoted to the discussion or posting of scans from Hustler and Penthouse magazines, respectively. Scans of pictorials from those magazines sometimes contain females in uniform.

Unfortunately, not all ISPs allow binary postings to non-binary NGs such as those mentioned above and filter out any binaries posted to them so only text messages come through. However, some newsfeeds such as Giganews and RemarQ carries these NGs.

Don't post to a nospam newsgroup without checking it out for a while! These guys are very strict about what is acceptable and what is not!

Groups not to bother with include:

     ABPES  alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.schoolgirls
     ABPEU  alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniforms
     ABPS  alt.binaries.pictures.schoolgirl
    ABPEC alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.cheerleaders
    ABPECP alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.cheerleaders.professional

These groups are just spam-filled. Feel free to give 'em a try but don't expect much.

NOTE: The ABPEU acronym above refers to a different NG as does the ABPES acronym.

    Sites

There are actually only a few sites that deal exclusively with women in uniform. Most sites only have a section or two of women in some sort of uniform (usually cheerleaders or schoolgirls). Amateur sites seem to be best for getting a nice series of uniform pictures (though the free ones are usually non-nude).

A list of uniform-related websites has been compiled by ABPEU-regular Mattila. The latest version of Mattila's Guide to Uniform Web-Pages can be obtained by posting a request for it to ABPEU attn. Mattila.

If you have a Yahoo! account and are at least 18 years of age (you better be!), you can subscribe to the following female-in-uniform related groups.  There are other Yahoo! Groups that are devoted to women in uniform, but the following sites below are somewhat connected to ABPEU:

    1. strict_uniforms - Founded and runned by NG regulars Les and Dr. Shaft, "this group is about women/ladies/girls in nice, strict uniforms, schoolgirls, traffic wardens, policewomen, women in ties and other similar uniforms. The posting of pictures is allowed and welcomed as are discussions and links to sites".
    1. UK WPC's Appreciation Group - For lovers of British (U.K.) Policewomen.
    1. Women in Military Uniform - Home for lovers of women in military uniform.
(NOTE: These groups also have FAQs.)

There are a number of paysites dealing with clothing fetishes (mostly pantyhose); the best so far is Fetish... By Request at www.fets.com.

    Alf's Resource file for nuns

Alf has also compiled a resource list of TV shows/movies featuring women dressed up as nuns which he also kindly submitted for inclusion in the FAQ. Again thanks for all your efforts and sharing the results with us, Alf.

NOTE: Alf originally posted this resource on the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.nuns newsgroup from RemarQ, but it never showed up on its newsserver.  The source of the following comes from Alf's old ABPEU Resources for Women In & Out of Uniform File, which is now part of the ABPEU FAQ. However, there is additional information Alf provided exclusively on this resource.

Alt Binaries Pictures Erotica Nuns (ABPEN) Resources File

Version 1.0 May 1999 Maintained by: "alf"

    INDEX

    1. What's This Resource All About?
    2. Newsgroups Other Than ABPEN Dedicated to Nuns
    3. Nuns Movies/Videos
    4. Anything Else?

    1. What's This Resource All About?

This resource provides information for those on the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.nuns newsgroup who are interested in female models who are either fully dressed or undressed as nuns. I'll provide lists of webpages, newsgroups, movies/video, and TV shows that feature nuns in nothing but their habits. This resource is far from complete. Please provide input and advice on this resource, if you can. I hope that this resource will be the first step in making ABPEN an unique newsgroup. However, that won't happen without our contributions to the newsgroup.

    2. Newsgroups Other Than ABPEN Dedicated to Nuns

The following newsgroups generally carry females in uniform pictures featuring nuns. If your ISP or online service doesn't carry these newsgroups, ask for them by name.

    alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform

Newsgroup dedicated to females in and out of uniform. Most of the pictures posted on ABPEN were originally posted on this newsgroup.

    alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.fetish

I haven't seen much pics of erotic nuns in this NG, but that'd be another place to check anyway.

    3. Nuns Movies/Videos

NOTE: Most of these are American movies and they're on video or DVD. Some of them may be out-of-print.  If you know any other movies/videos that are nun-related, please let me through e-mail

    MAINSTREAM

Bad Lieutenant (NC-17 movie featuring a controversial nun rape scene) - Bad Manners (Inside an orphanage, a boy surprises a half-naked young woman who is changing into a nun's habit.) - The Last Warrior (A missionary nun is forced to strip by a Japanese soldier at the end of World War II) - The Nun and the Bandit (Independent Australian film featuring a scene in which the bandit, after having a crush on the nun, said he'll let the nun go if she gives herself to him.) - Nuns on the Run (Police officers rip two nuns' clothes off.) - Problem Child (Opening of movie shows photos of nuns undressing, as being taken by the brat.) - The Singing Nun (biopic on nun who had a #1 song in the 1960's) - Sister Act (starring Whoopie Goldberg) - Sister Act II (Again, starring Whoopie Goldberg)

    4. Anything Else?

Again, this resource is far from complete. If you'd like to provide lists of websites (preferably free, unless there are reputable pay sites), movies, videos, and TV programs having nuns in (and out of) their habits, either e-mail me or post them on ABPEN. I'll update this resource with new information. I'll place your name (not your e-mail address) in the credits of this resource.

One more thing: if your ISP doesn't carry the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.nuns NG, ask for it by name.

    back to contents

What and how should I post?

    Content

The pictures should only be of women in uniform.

If you want to post pictures of men in uniform go to the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.uniform.male and ABPEUM.moderated groups as these were created especially for gays. If you post gay pictures to ABPEU you will be politely requested to move to the abovementioned groups. Please heed that request. Failing to do so will result in complaints being sent to your ISP which can result in your account being terminated as gay posts are considered spam per the ABPEU charter.

What constitutes a uniform? Well, we're pretty flexible about this, actually.

    1.      There are the classic types:

Military Uniforms (i.e., army, navy, airforce, marine, etc.)
Police-type Uniforms (i.e., policewoman, meter maid, traffic warden, jail warden, security guard, etc.)
Hospital-related Uniforms (i.e., physician, nurse, candy striper, etc.)
School-related Uniforms (i.e., cheerleaders, schoolgirls in uniform, band, etc.)
            Maid
            Airline Stewardess
            Equestrian (horse-riding uniform)
            Nuns
            Teachers

Just about any sort of regulated clothing is accepted here.

    2.    Office clothes, as seen on secretaries or female executive types, are very popular and are accepted.

    3.    Females dressed in costume are also acceptable; posts of women dressed as angels, indian maidens, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Sailor Moon, and superheroines have met acceptance here.

    4.    Females in sports regulated clothing are accepted; posts of women dressed in baseball, basketball, rugby, soccer, tennis, and even American football uniforms have met acceptance here.

    5.    Fringe types not usually seen (i.e., ballerinas, brides, newscasters, waitresses, girl scouts, etc.) are also accepted here.

Basically, just lurk for a bit and see what goes over well. If you're unsure, just ask; you'll never be flamed for asking straightforward questions. Post thank-yous if you really liked the pictures someone posted. After you spend a half hour downloading a bunch of pictures, then another twenty minutes posting them to ABPEU, it's nice to hear that someone liked them. (It's also a lot easier to get someone to post more of the same stuff if you let them know it's appreciated).

    Style

Ideally, the subject line should look something like this:

    ABPEU ++ Lesbian Policewomen (32+2) ++ policewomen01.jpg (1/1) 235667 bytes

The acronym at the front lets people see that your post is on topic and not mass posted spam. (Spammers usually wouldn't bother to add a different subject line for each group). If everyone put the ABPEU first in their subject lines, things would be very easy. That way, all you have to do is set your newsreader to sort the messages by subject line and all the good ones will sit together in one clump.

The next section tells the name or gives a description of the series posted. You should include some indication of what's being posted. If you've just got a bunch of stewardess pictures, just put 'misc stewardesses' or similar.

The (32+2) is the number of pictures plus the number of indices posted.

Next is the filename, number of parts for that file, and the file size. This is the ideal, but don't feel you can't post just because your newsreader doesn't automatically add the file size.

A more annoying problem is with renamed pictures. In a perfect world, people would just keep the original filenames to their pictures and everyone would know what was what. But, webmasters often feel the need to rename pictures into pic001.jpg or IMG00032.jpg formats to make it look like they have complete sets or something. If all you have is pict033.jpg and the like, either post 'em as is or give 'em a more sensible name, but generally it's best to just leave the names alone.

Posts should be accompanied with an index sheet (aka contact sheet), especially if miscellaneous pictures are being posted. You can get a good shareware version of ThumbsPlus from http://www.cerious.com Pictures should really be posted as single parts. Splitting a picture into two or more pieces is just not necessary and increases the likelihood of someone missing a piece. If your newsreader is so weak it can't handle the post, post the pictures via http://www.mailandnews.com.

There is an informal limit of approximately one hundred posts per twenty four hours. If you have one hundred and twelve pictures, fine, go ahead and post them. However, cleaning your hard-drive and flooding the group will be considered a breach of the ABPEU charter.

    back to contents

What and how shouldn't I post?

    Content

What shouldn't be posted? Well, no gay pictures, no pictures featuring girls younger than 18 years ( we want to avoid being branded a childporn group ). Nudes, obviously, unless they're part of a uniform related series. Lingerie pictures are out as well.
Pantyhose and other undergarment pictures really don't belong here and should be posted to other, more appropriate groups. Swimsuit pictures are also discouraged.

Basically, just lurk for a bit and see what goes over well. If you're unsure, just ask; you'll never be flamed for asking straightforward questions.

Don't ask someone to repost something that just got posted. If you have missed some posts, and really need a repost, say "Please" or at least a "TIA".

Do not post attachments containing executable computer viruses (e.g., Trojan, Backdoor, etc.).  You will be reported to your ISP and appropriate authorities in your country.

Don't post pictures of child pornography.
Blatant child porn will result in the contact of the federal authorities in your country.

    Style

Don't post a bunch of pictures with subject lines like "Hot Pic!!" or "Childporn URL found!"

Don't split your picture up into segments so people have to combine and decode your posts. There's just no reason for it and it's a pain in the ass.

Don't post pictures in one single thread (i.e., all with the same subject header). This may seem nice and easy for you but nobody will be able to determine whether your post is of interest to them except by downloading all your pics
( and subsequently discovering that they've only downloaded pics they already have ).

Don't post pics without a clear and descriptive header (see previous section).

Cross-posting is generally frowned upon. It just increases the likelihood of our little group being added to spammer's lists. However, the practice is not forbidden here, just be careful of where you're posting. Cross-posting to unrelated groups will be considered spam. In addition, most other groups that would appreciate the post have non-cross-posting regulations. If you really think two groups would like your stuff, post it twice (seperately) or just post a pointer to the group (ie. a subject header somewhat like "Pointer : lesbian stewardess series I just posted in ABNS!").

Don't post test messages to ABPEU just to see whether your newsreader is configured correctly. Test posts should be done in the groups alt.test and alt.binaries.test .

    What is Netiquette ?

Everyone surfing usenet is requested to observe proper "Netiquette". Ever heard of etiquette ? well, this is the usenet version of it. Basically it is a set of rules describing what is considered proper conduct and what isn't when posting to a newsgroup. In the end everything will work much better for all if we are polite, friendly and courteous. In short please treat others as if they were in the same room with you, rather than hundreds or thousands of miles away. Say please and thank you when appropriate, but by all means enjoy your time here. You can read more here.

    Poster Netiquette

Follow these rules, they are good for the soul...

    • When you have requested something and someone posts it for you, post thanks. Aside from being polite, it lets the poster know that you received the post. Since so many servers have incomplete feeds, if the poster does not see an acknowledgement of the post, he may assume that you did not get it, in which case it is pointless to post any more of your requests.
    • If you are posting a series in which you want others to "fill in the blanks", you will have much better luck posting a list of your missing files and a request along with the post of the scans, since it is very unlikely that anyone who has all the scans will go through your entire post looking to see which ones you have posted, assuming that each newsserver is functioning perfectly, so that he is really receiving all that you posted.
    • Do not use autopost to crosspost 500 files at a time to 10 or 15 groups. No one can download that many files in a short time, and it jams up the net as much as spam.
    • If you object to something that someone else has done, say so politely. If you begin a suggestion with the phrase "You are a @#$%@&$!! stupid @#%*&@@!", it is not really likely that your suggestion will be very helpful to that person in improving. We all tend to be defensive if we feel that we are attacked. Another thing to consider is that if we constantly criticize one particular person, even politely, they will get tired of it.
    • If you want to crop or otherwise alter files for your own use, that is your business, but please do not post them without a warning in the header that they are cropped or altered.
    • Do not post off topic to the specialized groups that are conscientiously maintained and relatively spam free. If 90% of the posts in a group are spam, as a good many are, then posting off topic is not such a serious crime.
    • One could write an entire book on how to fight spam. It does not help to post messages saying you hate spam. The most effective thing to do is forward the offensive post to the postmaster of the posters ISP, with a polite note objecting to the post (after all, it is not the fault of the postmaster, although if no action is taken after multiple complaints, one could argue that it is their fault at that time.) There is a program available to help with this at http://www.compulink.co.uk/~net-services/spam/
    • Also, if you really want to fight spam but don't know how, visit www.spamcop.net.
    • There really ARE groups called alt.test and alt.binaries.test and they are the appropriate place for test posts. They are two of the least read and most posted to groups on the net

How can I find missing posts ?

Sadly it happens all too often that postings arrive only in part or sometimes not at all at the news server you're using. This is due to the fact that posts have to travel through several news servers before they end up at your ISP's news server and get dropped by these servers due to a heavy traffic load or because they've arrived corrupt and are subsequently deleted.

As a rule the posters don't repost pics too soon after the original posting in order to avoid wasting bandwidth ( a precious thing within usenet ) and server storage space.

There are a three possibilities for getting to those missing posts :

    1. Sign up with a specialised news service, these are specialised in providing a usenet news service ( which your ISP usually isn't ) and generally carry more news groups and allow longer availability of the posted messages. The subscription rates vary and can be as low as 10 US dollars a month.  Some well known news services are : RemarQ, Giganews, and MailAndNews.
    2. Use a web-based news service to find the posts you're missing. The drawback of this approach is that searching a web-based news service tends to be a cumbersome business.
    3. Use a free news server. There are a number of news servers on the net which you can connect to without having to enter a userid and password in order to get to the usenet newsgroups. These servers tend to be elusive and are sometimes short-lived ( at least as far as the free news service is concerned ) and their newsfeeds vary in quality but they can be a good way to get the posts you're looking for. The drawback of free news servers is that a great many of them do not carry the alt.binaries hierarchy of usenet.
A number of sites exist which maintain a list of current free news servers. You can find them via search engines like Yahoo or AltaVista. Just use the keywords "free nntp server" or "free news server" for your search.

How can I find more info on UseNet and UseNet software

Explaining all the ins and outs of UseNet would simply take up way too much space in this FAQ and there are some excellent sites which can provide you with all the info you need :

The Landfield Group maintains an archive of several UseNet related topics, eg. a usenet reference, a usenet moderator's archive, software reference and more.

The Internet FAQ Consortium maintains an archive of a large number of newsgroup FAQs which are indexed by hierarchy. There's an excellent section on UseNet itself at www.faq.org/usenet/ and a section on Usenet Software plus tips and guidelines.

Furthermore the newsgroups alt.answers, news.answers and news.groups are also an excellent source for information on newsgroup FAQs and other UseNet related matters.

How can I advertise on ABPEU?

Advertising is allowed on ABPEU, under the following conditions:

    1. Your product/website must deal with uniform-related materials (including erotica) or graphics software or software applications dealing with posting (ie. autoposters, news readers).

    2. Your ad is clearly labelled as such in the subject line. A good example would look like this:

    ABPEU ++ Advertisement ++ ThumbsPlus v. 6.0 3.
Your ad does not open any extra windows. Two styles of advertisements are allowed: graphical and text. Graphical ads contain pictures from your site or CD or whatever. They must be on topic (see above). They should not be plastered all over with the site's name or URL and should not be reposted within two weeks. If you want to run your ad again, post a different picture. Text ads should give a description of the item or service and may contain a hypertext link to your site. They should not be reposted within two weeks.

    What's a charter?

A charter is a declaration by the regular users of a newsgroup as to what that newsgroup should be used for. In other words, it is a statement about what will be considered ON-TOPIC.
