This logo was designed for Sensei Jerry Marr of Midwest Karate in 1970 by Mr. Ken White. A student of Commercial Arts at the time; Mr.White photographed Sensei Marr performing the flying kick. He then generated the artwork from the photo.
Since that time, Sensei Marr has used this logo consistantly. But he is not the only one! The Midwest photo/logo and its components has been used repeatedly; in different provinces, and often by non-affiliated groups. Students of Midwest Karate should be aware of this. |
