Happy Holidays 1999 | ||||||||||||||
Welcome to my first electronic Holiday Newsletter! Wes and I have spent most of 1999 in our new house. We are well, but busy. Wes is finishing his dissertation and plans to graduate in the spring, and I am teaching full time at Motlow. Teaching five classes for the first time (five writing classes) has proven to be a handful, but we are grateful that we are both working full time. This past summer, I actually served a couple months on Operation Allied Force orders--lucky for me I had a real hardship tour in Las Vegas. I did some work at the Weapons School, as they were short on instructors out there. It was a real busman's holiday for me; I edited student papers, but I have to admit it was very satisfying work, and I should be so lucky to be invited back every year. After I returned from Nellis AFB, my parents took the whole family rafting down the middle fork of the Salmon River to celebrate their 35th Wedding Anniversary. Wes swears it was the best vacation ever. In October, I was promoted to Major--pretty scary, as I remember my father being Maj. Posanka, so I must be getting old. Wes and I are looking forward to our first Christmas in this new house, and hope you and your families are well and healthy. Happy New Year! |
