"Heaven`s Loss; More Than An Angel"

Where is heaven
Is heaven where the angels are?
Or is it where my angel is
In your wake is paradise
Gardens lost to heaven
As each footstep brings
Brings breath of life
To a valley threatened with drought and drowning in death
And I watch you
Painting the colorless
Borrowing the brilliance from Heaven
As every smile is a sudden rainbow
And a stolen ray from the sun`s shine
I see you when birds grace you with song
And the wild ones drop soft petals at your feet
I observe you as you walk under the shade of my tree
and sit down to watch me
You sing to me
Music lost to heaven and the cherabim
And all this valley is filled with your angelic song
And it is not my valley anymore
But it is our world you
have so carefully painted with the beauty behind your eye
and the essence of heaven
You sing for me stay
To stay as long as I need
And lose myself in our bit of heaven
You hold my hand to your cheek
Close your eyes
I close mine
Brilliance and beauty from up close
is not something I deserve to see
You kiss my forehead and I hear you tell me
You have painted this world
From the beauty you have found in my eyes

And my angel loses himself in my eyes
I cannot help being drawn to him
As I called out to him one day
His soul calls to me now
to stay
And I forget my world
My barren valley
I settle here in ours
I held him then
He comforted me
We spoke no words
but we soaked eachother in
Shared a total understanding
Then my angel slept
In my arms My angel was finally able to rest
And I listened to the soft hum of his breath
His sleep lulled me to sleep
Inviting me to dreamlands to find him and run wild and free
And for the first time in life
The world watched us sleep
This is dedicated to Ralph, for making me want to explore the deeper side of me and helping me remember to be true to myself  You truly are an angel.
