if you haven't tried to solve these, go right back to Puzzling Things right now! The link is right there, there's no excuse, and you'll regret it!
1) You have 3. You took them away from the five.
2) All of them! Look on the calander!
3) Orange! There are 3 primary colors, blue, red and yellow. Arrange them in a circle. Blue is across from orange. (red and yellow mixed together)
4) The hockey pucks CAN be weighed twice.
First Step= Take any six pucks. Put three on one scale, and three on the other. If they are equal, you know that the heavy puck is in the other three. If they aren't take the heavier three. Set aside all the other pucks, except the heaviest three.
Second Step = Then take two of the heaviest three, and weigh them. If they are equal, the heavy puck is the third one. If they aren't the heaviest one is the heaviest of the nine!
5) Just 8 minutes!!! If each of the eight cats has one food can, and it takes them 8 minutes to eat it, it still takes each of the 30 cats 8 minute to eat their food. It doesn't matter how many cats there is, it still takes each cat eight minutes to eat one can of food!
If you didn't figure these out, aren't you sorry you looked?
