I just wanted you to know that until the splash pad was finished, I just didn’t get it. I thought the old park looked okay, although it was never used, was glad there was a place for a farmer’s market under the freeway and didn’t understand why people would work so hard and spend so much money when we need health care, a different president, etc. Since those two things (health care and Redefeating Bush) have been my main focus in activism (the former for the past 10 years), I didn’t make time to help out with the splash pad. However, I am one of the happiest recipients of others’ generous time and money. I absolutely love the new space, the beautified farmer’s stalls, the fountain that kids put their feet in in hot weather, the music—everything! So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you who worked so hard to make it a reality. And you can thank me if Bush loses (ha,ha)!

Your web site is filled with very interesting information regarding the Grand Lake certified Farmers' Market. I really enjoyed the well written profiles of the different farmers and vendors. This farmers' market is easily the best in the east bay because of three things:
1) the most incredible selection of the yummiest fruits and vegetables you'll ever taste
2) the new Splash Pad Park area provides the most beautiful location to hold such an event
3) the friendliness of all the vendors make it such a great overall experience.

Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
